Using W130 (W30 two units) as satellites with G36 modem router

Hi. I wasn’t sure which forum this post should go in since it concerns my wifi modem and mesh system.Previously, I used an Orbi CBR40 and two Orbi satellites for my mesh system. I’ve been having issued for the last several month with my wifi dropping despite no issues with my internet service. After going through troubleshooting and consulting Netgear forums, I decided to upgrade my system.I purchased a G36 and a W130 max mesh system. The setup of the G36 went off without a hitch, but I can’t seem to figure out the W130’s. Initially, I plugged a W30 module in to power and selected “add Device” using the surfboard central app. This didn’t work, so using the Ethernet cable I connected it to the G36 and selected “add device” once again. I got it to connect, but it was acting as it’s own router and not a satellite. After some research, it looks like I’m supposed to set it up as a “bridge” system, so I removed the W30 from the system/app and followed the bridge set up, but the app just trie

Canon MP5700 series printer can't connect to G36

I’ve been going nuts trying to figure out a solution. I got the G36 and tried to pair my Canon MG5700 series printer to wifi using every way I could. Even still, the printer isn’t visible on the wifi network. What am I doing wrong? Could it be that the printer is obsolete? It’s 6 years old.

Cannot Finish Setup on G34

I can't create a Surfboard Account to utilize the IP Web Portal to change my wifi credentials. I'm stuck with the default name and password and I would like to change them. I go through the App trying to set it up and I get this error every single time. My ISP has activated the device and my family and I are able to use the Internet through it so that isn't the problem.I am at a loss as to what to do next, things shouldn't be this hard right out of the box.

I migrated to the new surfborad app ( it made me) now it shows that there are no devices connected. When i click on ADD Device, “migration in process. Please wait a few seconds” that has said that for the last 3 or 4 Hours.Our garage door mobile app won’t connect to it. I am really regretting this Modem/Router.

change password

I'm trying to change my wifi password (I am not trying to change it from the default. I'm trying to change it from an already set password that I know, and I am the account holder of). How do I do this? I have the surfboard app but it's asking me for the username and password and I'm not sure what that is. I've tried the default "admin" and "password" and I get an error message. I've tried going to the number thing in the URL and it won't let me log in there either. My roommate has not been paying rent or utilities and so I'm really trying to make sure he doesn't have access to the wifi he's not paying for.

reset to factory setting

Bought a used SBG 8300. Modem works except wifi was setup by previous user and I do not have the password. I tried to reset the modem by pressing the reset button more than 5 seconds however the modem would not revert back to factory settings after the reset. What are my options?

G36 under warranty needs to be exchanged for different model

I work from home and rely heavily on my ability to access the internet reliably. I recently switched from my rental Modem/Receiver from Spectrum to your G36 and maintaining a wifi connection has been spotty at best. Since I am under warranty I need to return this device in exchange for another model with similar capabilities. I’ve gone through all the community posts here for input and it seems that Arris SURFboard support will do just about anything, including ignore posts, to avoid a return or exchange. The Live Chat and even the Support Phone number are either down or hidden. Says a lot about the product and the company behind it. I hope that this will not be the case here. I look forward to hearing from support as soon as possible.

Optimum unable to provision SBG8300

Hello -- Optimum provisioning is not updating the WAN IP address properly to get out to the internet -- still showing the internal WAN IP address so can’t get out to the internet. I can get the WIFI set up so it’s got have something to do with proxy or security or some setting within the admin portal. They want to send out a technician at $60 for service call. I don’t want to go there if someone knows what setting I should be updating to make it provision properly…..Any help is appreciated!!!

Since 2016 I have read many articles about the faulty SB6190 Puma 6 chipset and latency jitter issues. I have also read many recent positive reviews of the modem. Arris no longer advertises the Intel Chipset inside on the box or modem itself. So now in 2023, did Arris stop using the alleged defective chipset for another chipset or are the latency jitter issues now resolved. I don't know whether I made a mistake buying the modem on sale or the current versions of the modems have the problems resolved. Most Forums talk about 2016, I would like to know the current status of the SB6190 in 2023. If anyone has the answers, thanks in advance.

S33 Xfinity Connected No Internet When devices wakes

Every Windows device in my home, two work laptops, a desktop using Wifi, and a hardwired desktop all will show “Connected, No Internet” for several minutes when first booting up or waking from sleep. The Xfinity tech that came out confirmed the signal is excellent where it is coming into the modem, and I have had the router replaced which leads me(and the tech) to believe its a modem issue. I have tried connecting directly to the modem to register its warranty but it wouldn’t let me and the ARRIS support site kept showing as unavailable. I just want to submit for a replacement.

Cannot Login with Password on G36

I’m having the same issue with a G36, using correct password won’t let me login, hope you find the issue. Not wanting to reset the modem to factory defaults. Looks like it still has some of the settings i had setup, wireless is still working, but the port forwarding is gone and the iPhone app won’t let me add it back. And even when it was letting me into it, it was SO SLOW, hard to believe this it commercial software, seems more like a very early beta….

DG3450/SB8200 question.

Hi! What is the model number for the power supply for the DG3450, and is there a manual for it avaliable? My ISP Uses it, but the manual they have posted, is provsioning instructions for it. Also, what “Layer” does LACP operate at on the 3.1 “bridge” (SB8200/S33/etc) modems? How would I set this up with something like a HP 3500YL Switch.

moving from surfboard legacy to central.

I am trying to move from legacy to central and do not know what I am doing. We have the SBG7600AC2. We have had it for 3 years now and don’t know what kind of maintenance should be done on it.Going through the setup I get to screen that asks if you have previously installed Legacy app and am asked to migrate and I continue. However I cannot connect to home network. I get an error message-0015-1805. I have no idea what to do next. I could really use some help because this is really frustrating.thanks
