I had a problem with cable system which Xfinity fixed by running a new line. Once activated, my modem connected to the internet but I’m unable to sign in to the modem. I reset to factory default but it will not accept the default user id and password which came with modem (Admin / password). I need to access in order to reset my home network. I’ve tried unsuccessfully to contact anyone with Arris support for assistance or warranty. I need the modem for work ASAP so will be forced to purchase a new modem (which wiill not be this company brand) unless I can get help immediately.

Slow WiFi download speeds

A little background first - my COX account is for 500 Mbps, and with the Gateway speed tests on the COX website were somewhat greater than 500 Mbps. However, we experienced daily issues with the WiFi, having to reboot the Gateway at least once almost every day. Our laptops and other devices would lose connection frequently. So, I recently replaced my COX Panoramic Gateway with an Arris SB8200 cable modem connecting to a TP-Link Deco X55 (AX3000) mesh system (3 nodes). The setup was easy and our devices don't seem to have any issues connecting. However, download speed tests (WiFi) are now showing 80 Mbps (upload ~11 Mbps). A wired test with my laptop connected directly to a Deco node showed only a slightly higher download speed of 85 Mbps.According to COX my modem was provisioned properly and it all looks good on their end. So I sent a detailed report to TP-Link support, including all information they requested (various speed tests, network topology, firmware version, etc.). They

comcast IDs my Arris SBG10 as a SBG1000

The SBG 10 spec says that I should have download speeds up to 686 MB per second, and Comcast says that my modem is an SBG1000 and incompatible with 75 MB per second. What's the deal? Is there a problem with Comcast or with my modem? I use a VPN. Does this create a problem?

Still Cannot Login to SB-8200 Modem...

This modem has been working well for me. I want to login to the modem AND I CANNOT ACCOMPLISH THIS. My tech skill level is high. I have spent hours doing Google searches on how to do the login, including using different combinations for usernames and passwords, including using the last 8 digits of the serial number for the password, and attaching my laptop directly to the modem, AND NOTHING HAS WORKED. Arris needs to address this issue, as I found many frustrated people posting online about having the same problem with this modem. Thanks.

Just hooked up my S33 and had it activated through Xfinity. I connect to my WiFi router and works great. However, when I unplug from router and hook my modem directly to my laptop, it says unidentified network and it will not connect to the internet. Any suggestions?

G36 Reverted to factory wifi settings

I’ve had the G36 for about a month. Overnight the wifi networks and passwords reverted to the factory default without me doing anything. The admin log in did not revert to factory default. Has anyone experienced this before?

Arris TG3452A Packet Loss Issues

As of recent me and my family have been finding our Arris TG3542A has been producing tremendous amounts of packet loss and I am unsure as of what to do with it. I have been unable to find anything helpful on the internet in my countless hours of research and we are supposed to be getting 1000+ mbps but we only get 20-40 mbps. Please help.

New SB8200 and Xfinity

I just bought a new SB8200 to replace my DOCSIS 3.0 Modem and I don’t think what the status window is showing me is what I should be seeing. The downstream bonded channels are all QAM256, while the upstream channels are SC-QAM. On the front of the modem, the second light from the top is blue and the third is green.I was on the phone with Xfinity for almost an hour since they had trouble connecting to and they were finally able to provision it. Arris SBG8300 compatibility

I now have AT&T fiber optic using their modem/router in my house. Previously I had Comcast cable and used my Arris SBG8300 for WiFi. I have a Cat5 cable running from my house to my detached garage which I used in the past plugged into my Arris Model SBG8300 (house) when I had Comcast Cable. The Cat5 cable was plugged into a laptop I used in the garage. My question is, can I plug my Arris into the Cat 5 cable in my garage, connected to my AT&T Router/Modem (house) and use it for Wi-Fi for some remote security cameras in my garage?

Can't access the admin login on Arris SB SBG7400. I was able to earlier in the day with the generic user name & the password I created & then later nothing. I tried resetting the unit, that didn’t work. I saw several other questions raised about this issue. I’m using Google Chrome.

S33 slow speeds with xfinity.

Both Arris and Xfinity pointing fingers at each other. Paying for 1.2 gig and getting between 200 and 400 on ethernet. Was getting 900plus on xfinity modem. TG2482A i can't find any update for my device.

I try to access the configuration of my router, and everything is in order, the problem is that I cannot access its advanced configuration, the option simply does not appear or it appears in a gray box, I cannot change anything, I can only access the basics and I need change some settings in the "Advanced" section, I think it's because the firmware is not updated and I can't find information about it. How to open ports so T-Mobile Cell Spot can communicate

My T-Mobile Cell Spot (a mini home tower so I get strong signal throughout my home) worked for 2 years without problems. We had to change the primary person name on account and they made us return cell spot and get a new one because according to the FTC it has to be registered in that exact person’s name. Waited to install new cell spot until Arris S33 and EERO mesh pro were installed so it was all new. Everything was working for 7 days and then cell spot went out. Made several attempt to reboot and talk to T-mobile tier 2 tech support. They say that I need to open the following 3 ports so T-mobile cell spot can connect to the internet:UDP 500UDP 4500UDP 123Everything else works great but my cell spot and I fluctuate from 1-2 signal bars. I need it to be back at full 4 throughout my home. It isn’t spectrum nor EERO and T-mobile is saying it is the modem. Unfortunately, I can’t find anywhere that has the ability to change any port settings

Arris tm722g speed needed

Hi,I can’t find the specs for my Arris tm722g modem. I have a 10/100/1000 ethernet port on my computer, a 15 Mbps internet connection (through the phone/cable company), so I wonder if the TM722G is fast enough to take advantage of the 10/100/1000 ethernet port.My question comes from the fact that I notice some lags when streaming 4k videos. i’ve been trying to set up my modem to no avail i had this modem and a tplink router set up at my previous address, using xfinity i’m trying to install it now, but the globe button won’t turn on and connect to the internet. i called xfinity and they said it all looks good on their end. i’ve unplugged and reset a few times, but still nothing.

new modem getting awful speeds

ive gotten 2 new modems that on the box say are capable of 800mbps down however when i run a speed test with my PC and it being the only thing on the network, im barely getting 200 down. i pay for 800mbps so im trying to get at least 500-600 down. contacted XFinity and they say its a modem issue but i cant get ahold of an agent via live chat because the site cant find its own modem. bought it at best buy and i just have no clue what to do. any tips?
