Good afternoon, I bought two router 7400ac, the information on it is not the same as the information on the sticker, get the Serial Number of both, could you tell me the HFC MAC so I can install the router? G34 2.4 keeps dropping internet connectivity.

G34 - Download Speed randomly slow Everyday

Everyday my download speed drops to 32MBPS or 500+ when I restart and or when it decides to work properly wired and wirelessly. Upload speed is where it should be. This has been going on for about 2 weeks and I’m close to getting a different modem. Cox says nothing is wrong on their end.

Bought SBG8300 for Comcast 1.2Gigabit Plan, Slower Speeds than before

Man,From everything Im reading on this forum and Xfinity forums, I really should have thought sixteen times over about getting this model.So:Looking for some suggestions here. I am a gamer, Xbox One Series X, PS5, Switch, you name it. I was not getting the speed I wanted to stream and game with friends, etc. I was paying Xfinity for one of their basic router modem combos and had the 800mbps plan. Surprisingly it was really decent speeds for that plan but my upload was capped and it was causing lag in certain situations. I bought the new router (SBG8300 which was listed as a compatible device) but Im not getting anywhere near the 1.2gbs and now Im hearing it doesn’t truly support the gigabit plans from individuals on here. Im thinking of returning this router tomorrow and getting a better model. Any suggestions on models? I am getting like 250-300mbps on direct ethernet (expensive double braided ethernet), and seems like better speeds over 5ghz wifi. But I was getting 750mbps on my old

The Arris Surfboard G34 is a terrible Router: I have to reset it at least once per day, more often several times.

My Arris Surfboard G34, which I am using with Xfinity, consistently crashes, or is unable to connect. I am having to reset it at least once per day, if not more. This is the second model I have bought, and both have had the exact same problem. The Surfboard app is almost useless and I have to login to the desktop/browser version to actually get anything done. I have such buyers remorse about this thing. It’s awful, absolutely terrible.

G36 Issues: Intermittent Connectivity, Netflix Amazon Prime Issues

I recently upgraded to the Arris G36 router/modem, for use with Xfinity 1 gbps service. I selected the product because Xfinity includes it on its “official” list of products that are compatible with it AND which would help me to take full advantage of my service level (which my old router/modem did not).Since then, I have experienced the following issues:I’m often disconnected from the Internet entirely, and need to reboot the router/modem and/or manually connect to the Internet on my phone/laptop (rather than the Internet connection being constant) When watching Netflix or Amazon Prime, I often experience buffering--at least a half a dozen times per hour. Sometimes I get disconnected from the Internet entirely. I’ve checked, and rechecked, all cables and my Xfinity service. There have been no issues there. I’ve checked, and rechecked, my Netflix and Amazon Prime services, there are no issues there. Bottom line--there’s a problem with my Arrix G36 router/modem. I cannot go on using it

Who do you believe (Typical xFinity song and dance)

Some minimal background for context, I work 3rd shift weekend providing customer support for an operating system vendor. This means that I get to (try to) live through any ISP changes that xFinity/Comcast throws on their victims. About a month ago some change was made and my SB8200 that had been working fine (with a functioning DOCSIS 3.1 indication), so to speak. Performance went to heck and none of the troubleshooting suggestions helped (rebooted several times, factory reset, etc). At the time the modem log had an entry about a failed firmware download and most of the channels had logged both correctable and non-correctable errors. It should have been a hint that the normal address for the SB8200 config pages didn’t respond but 192.168.0.1 connected.Enter Comcast… After the usual foolishness the agent finally tried to ‘look at’ the modem using their tools and that was a total failure. From my view the modem was working but, honestly, wasn’t performing as well as internet over

SURFboard SBG7400AC2 2.4 ghz settings for security cameras which loses live stream after 2 seconds

Arlo camera connects fine to the SBG7400AC2 and functions fine except for the live streaming aspect, which only last two seconds and stops. I’m thinking there must be a setting for the 2.4 ghz connection that I haven’t set correctly or the live stream would remain connected.

connecting extender with G34

I recently purchased a surfboard model G34. I am looking into extenders. There’s are so many different things to boost the signal throughout my home. Previously we had a netgear modem/router combo with an extender when we just plugged into an outlet in the area we needed to extend the signal to. I am having a difficult time finding one like that that would be comparable with our new modem/router. I am finding mesh systems and satellite items. Do any of these have to have the Ethernet plugged in to boost the signal? Or does it just get plugged into power and connected to the signal and placed where we need it? If I have to have Ethernet I would have to have my service provider come out and install that, I really don’t know. We only have one coax cable coming into our home where the modem currently is.

SB6190 Signal Upload Levels on RFoG Fiber to House

With 21 days active up time, I have approx 300 correctables and 21000 uncorrectables per channel on downstream side. Is this what is to be expected with an RFoG fiber type setup or are these happening specifically from my modem to the RFoG adapter on back of house?Also my upload power levels are between 35 and 36.5. Channels 1 and 2 are channel ID 75 and 76 respectively using 2560 KSym/s. Channels 3 and 4 are using channel ID 74 and 73 respectively using 5120 KSym/s. I read that power upload should be closer to 51 and not the approx 35 I have.This is the setup:cablemodem and after that is the injector sending power to the RFoG coax/fiber device on side of house using the coax line. The coax line is direct run with no splitters and all connections are factory spliced provided connections and good splice connections done by provider. The RFoG device is grounded outside and outlet grounded inside.

G36 Intermittently drops SSID 2.4 and 5.0 username and password

After manually restarting the modem, my G36 Intermittently (every 5 or 6 restarts) drops SSID 2.4 and 5.0 username and password. I have to go back to the dashboard and re-enter the WIFI name and password. My ISP is Xfinity. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello ! I can't change my password on the router. I use the password that is written on the back of the router to get onto internet and log into the ARRIS, When i try to change the password it's telling me that the current password is wrong, even tho i use that password from the router The P/N is TG02DAE3452
