Post after post after post says you cannot put 192.168.0.1 and get to the admin login page any more.  There used to be a Firefox work around and everyone keeps posting that as the solution.

IT DOES NOT WORK.  No matter what browser I used including Safari IT WILL NOT WORK.

Does ANYONE know how to login the modem as of today 12/29/2024?

My modem is a SBG6900-AC but that doesn’t matter because based on the comments many different Arris modems are having the same problem.

Unplugging it doesn’t work, factory resetting it doesn’t work.  NOTHING WORKS.

And why isn’t Arris doing something about it.  Apparently no browser due to security reasons will let us log in to our modems because we have an old protocol or something.

This whole situation is far beyond pathetic for a company the ‘used to be’ reputable. Don’t count on any help from the clowns moderating this “Community”. It has been over a year for me . . . NO RESOLUTION

Dragon,  Thanks for the reply.  At least your comment let me know it is out there in the community.  I figured I’d be out of luck when I was seeing posts over a year old with no solution.

Have you checked to see if that’s actually what you have setup for your default gateway?

Some use 192.168.1.1

or 10.0.0.1

Netgear’s newest they’ve been using is 10.168.168.1

Easiest way to check is pull up a command prompt on your pc and type in “ipconfig”

The default gateway address should be the routers address.

Thank you for the reply.  I followed your instructions and it says it is 192.168.0.1

for me, the issue is the untrusted cert, which is on ARRIS to resolve

Could you let us know if you're trying to access the web portal from an official computer/laptop or a personal one?

Also, is there any VPN enabled on the device you're using to log in to the web portal?

Please try accessing the web portal using an incognito window or the Opera Mini browser.

several computers - all personal

no VPN enabled

incognito window give the same failed result

I will have to download and install the Opera Mini browser, which is extremely annoying

seems to be a browser specific issue. If you’re using edge, here’s a guide on bypassing it.

tried Edge and the linked remedies . . . no go

other browsers include Firefox & Chrome . . . no go
