Wi-Fi Modems

My kid is addicted to any type of game and I want to be able to cut internet to only his devices when needed. I work from home and cant just unplug it.  Help

I previously used the web to login in to my SBG8300 Device Manager, but receive an error number 0000-1900 that my Chrome browser version is out of date every time I log in, yet the version on the error message is an old one.  I also receive the same error message if I log into the Device Manager using the Edge browser. I downloaded the new Surfboard Central app, but when I click “Network”, the page goes through the endless refresh cycle, circling and circling and circling…..How is this resolved so I can manage my modem/router gateway on the app?

how can I tell if I have the latest updates on mt G36?  I have internet drops, freezing frames and audio drops. 

I have been unable to authenticate into my corporate network/web portal for about 5 days.  I am having the same problem whether wired or wireless.  Contacted my ISP, and while they do not support my Router (I Own it), they suggested updating Primary and Secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.  In order to do that, I have to enable Static IP on WAN Setup and add an IP Address.  I used 100.64.105.29, but TBH that was a wild guess.  But after applying I lost internet altogether.   I then selected Enable DNS Override on LAN Settings and applied but that didn’t seem to update nor did it fix the problem.  So a couple questions:  Is there a different IP I should use on WAN Setup when shifting over to Static IP?  Or is there another way to update DNS without making all of the other changes described above?  Or does the description sound like it may be on my corporate side.  One last fact, this problem started after updating my MacBook to MacOS Tahoe 26.1...😡

The Arris G36 was dropping the internet daily even though the blue light was on when there was no connection and I cycled power often for it to work.  The signal power is ok. When internet worked WiFi was ok.  The ISP tech said my connection problem was that WiFi was turned on at my end but the Cable company had WiFi turned off from their end.  He turned it on and it has worked for about 6 hours now.  Is it likely that this will fix the problem long term?                                                  I asked about modem updates and He told me that user owned modem updates are not done by Mediacom and must be obtained from Arris by the customer.

Hi my problem is since I just installed G34 modem I cannot goto craigslist.org  through wifi. I can by going through my data connection...with wifi off. Or in wifi using VPN so that tells me it's something with my IP address...I turned off the firewall thru arris gui I tried both the ip4 and ip6 still no go...anyone here have the ARRIS G34 do you have trouble with that website....or is it just me...I only surf that site for motorcycle parts so if CL blocked me I have no idea why.Thanks.

Please advise the paper work to file a warranty claim on G34.

Bought a G36 and after 60 mins of my ISP support, it doesn’t work, won’t provision. Calling Support (Edited private information) or (Edited private information) FAILED. A couple of rings, then the call dropped with both numbers. I’m sick and tired of companies being INaccessible. I will NEVER buy anything ARRIS again. No support available. Life isn’t M-F for network or hardware issues. They will hear from me tomorrow via chat and it’s not going to be fun AFTER the first 30 minutes. I’ve had this G36 for 1 year AND JUST CONNECTED IT TODAY. I travel with my job 9 months out of the year and it’s out of warranty as of July, 2025. Since it was never going to work to begin with, it seems that ARRIS owes me $. I have a newsflash for ARRIS who says on their website that they stand behind their products! 

  Please help me with my ISSUES getting into modem softwareI have an Arris SGB8300 and use microsoft edge browser.I changed my admin password to the router/modem.I logged in successfully to 192.168.0.1→ I was warned my Edge Browser was unsecure→ I was to use 70.0.3538.110 (later tried and got …  (similar message as one shown)I then attempted to forward a port (found where - but had extra fields to fill in)I logged outWhen I wanted to log back to router … I got the HMMM … Can’t reach this page TAUNT)I think it is my machine blocking … but IDK..

I purchased an SBG10-RB off of Amazon on July 7 and it's been having electrical issues. Is it under warranty and how can I claim the warranty?

All of the devices on my sbg8300 network are showing up on the arris web interface but only 1 device is showing up on surfboard central app on my iphone 13 pro. I tried uninstalling the app, rebooting the sbg8300, and then reinstalling the app. I also tried the factory reset of the sbg8300.

I am blocked from 192.168.0.1 and can’t get wps set up online so that I can wirelessly connect my printer to my computer.  PLEASE give me wps access/account or something for wps so I can connect my printer.

It's always blinking blue which is the only light on the modem. It worked for 1 day and every since the internet keeps dropping and even when it is connected it doesn't have internet. 

Why is every support link broken

I want to add the modem to the app so I can monitor it and have better control. I have Spectrum and have performed a hard reset on the modem. I'm able to access the original WiFi network using the login and password from the bottom of the router, but it still isn't recognized. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to pay for Arris support for this modem. 

Light status on device is solid, solid, dark, flicker, flicker. ISP says no issues there but that modem is not responding when trying to troubleshoot.

Can connect to internet but can’t download content to LG webOS. “Server Certificate Can’t Be Trusted”. This is a new issue with a 2025 TV, earlier models and their webOS worked fine. This issue was explored by Xfinity and LG tech support. They conclude problem is with this router

Is there something I’m doing/have done wrong so that my “parental controls” are slower than a frozen slug?My phone (Samsung Galaxy S25) is connected to the 5GHz network, I’m 3 feet away from it, and when I go into the parental control section it takes a literal minute and a half to go from one screen to the next - ie, from the list of profiles to get into my son’s list of devices, it just now took me 103 seconds. And even then, things I do sometimes, but not always, save - and other times it just disappears into the ether. I want to do it on my desktop, but I can’t because parental controls can’t be done from a desktop.I have tried “turn it off, turn it back on,” re-synching the phone to the router, etc.ANY help greatly appreciated.

Say’s my G34 and serial number don’t match when I go to register the product.

New G34 Surfboard Modem/Router all in one, bought today.  For some reason, the wifi works, but the ethernet connection only show up as “Unidentified network.  No internet access”  i can’t even use the faster ethernet port connection...any ideas?

I have been working with Spectrum regarding internet drops. Spectrum Rep. suggested that the modem/router needs an update. Spectrum cannot update the software on any other modem then theirs. Is there an update for this model?  Has anyone else had this issue? Thank you.

This app has got to be the worst app. I have the G36 and parental controls do not work. My kids can still access anything even when everything is blocked and activated so their devices should not be able to access the internet. It’s crazy. The web version is way more effective, but still poor.
