I’m not arris and don’t have that device in my region but after researching, I’m not seeing that it has any wifi capability for the usb port. If you’re needing wireless, a decent dual band extender with ethernet out might be a better bet. 

You can use W6B SURFboard Thruster.  You connect one unit to your home router and connect the VIP1113 to the other unit with Ethernet cable.  The extenders connect to each other over WiFi 6e.
