I am having problem setting the uint up for use for internet I did do manually set up but it didnt work still getting connection needed message

I have xfinity I’m trying to get my surfboard set up so I can get ride of centry link

Have you reached you’re ISP for the activation or tried for self activation Is the modem is setup now ?
