Frustrating experience with SURFboard SGB7600AC2
I tried replacing my rental modem/router/wifi with a SGB7600AC2 and it did not go well. After informing my cable provider that I wished to use my own modem, they asked me for relevant info about my new modem. I gave them make/model and MAC info. My old modem stopped working at which time I plugged in the new one. I waited 15-20 minutes. Eventually the default wifi SSID showed up and I connected to it and then connected to the surfboard. It was at this point that things went sideways. I could browse some sites on the Internet but not others. It sort of felt like I was in a walled garden. However, it finally dawned on me that I was able to reach IPv6 sites (like Facebook) but not sites which only used IPv4 (which happens to be about 75% of the sites that I frequent). In any case, after looking through the settings and logs, etc, I discovered that the modem was not requesting an IPv4 address via DHCP even though it was configured for DHCP. I was getting a /60 IPv6 prefix via pr
Dropping connection & warranty claim
I asked a question a couple months ago and did not receive any assistance that helps or answers my question. I have a SBG7600AC2 and want to know how to submit a warranty claim without having to call customer service? This has consistently dropped connections and restarted many, many times over the last couple of months. I had my cable company here twice and they don't find anything wrong on their end. I switched to a different modem/router and haven't had any issues since. I had to hook up a new modem in order to have wifi. So I would now have to call my cable company back and reactivate the problem modem so Arris customer service can tell me that it doesn’t work. It took me quite a while to activate all my devices to be working with the new modem. I am not sure I want to have to go through that again twice. Is there no other solution? Anyone?

Why can't I access the "Operation" section?
Once logged into the web interface, there are three headings at the top of the page: “Configuration”, “Operation”, and “Logout”. I am guessing that “Operation” is where I can view traffic or logs and whatnot but when I click it, I am presented with another login page that will not accept my admin password or the password from the side of the physical gateway. I cannot find any documentation or resources explaining how to correct this. What am I doing wrong?
SBG6700AC2 Better to use SBX-AC1200P Range extender or Mesh system
This is for my home network system. I have 2 month old Arris SBG7600AC2. It works very well for my needs. I would simply like some extended wifi coverage. According to Oolka, over a cabled connection (not wifi) my internet service provides me 120 Mbps down and about 10 Mbps up. I know we currently have the lowest service from our provider and I don’t expect much to change in the future to warrant paying for a faster connection. I average 246 GB per month and at most 12.5 GB per day. I don’t have any bottlenecks or performance issues from an internet perspective. But I lose some wifi bars at both distance extremes in the house. That said, I’d like to extend my wireless range a bit. The structure is a 2 story 62 x 24 footprint. The current placement of the existing 7600 is pretty much in the middle. I have some questions: 1. Would I be better off from a wifi range perspective to add a range extender (or two) or use one of the mesh systems? If I use a mesh system, which one is best
