I signed in with “admin” and the password being “password”. Prompted me to change password so I did. Upon trying to save, it tells me old password is incorrect. I try to try it again, still tells me old password is incorrect. I refresh the page and I put in old password and this message shows up. I type in the new password I wanted and still tells me the same. How do I get around it so I can change my Wi-Fi password?
First off, my phone says I have connection, but router says I'm not online, no blue light, nothing. My phone, and apps work though. I get connected to my ring device just fine. Now my husband, and daughter, cannot connect at all for 2 days now. I've unplugged from wall, etc., and nada. My ISP said he shows I'm connected. On my settings, where it says I'm connected, has a lock icon, how do I get rid of that? Could it be why my family can't connect? Nope, not savvy with this stuff
We have SBG7600AC2 SURFboard® DOCSIS® 3.0 Cable Modem & Wi-Fi® Router that is currently saying “Connected, No Internet” on our google tv and some apps are working but some won’t for the last couple days.. Ie Netflix will but Prime video won’t. We restarted our modem and reconnected to the wifi on the tv many times and still nothing. We are currently in the process of resetting our modem with the button on the back but we are at the configure screen and theres no factory reset option! Please help, thanks in advance!
Earlier today my router was working as normal, but when I returned home all of the lights on the front of the modem were off and will no longer turn on. The Ethernet ports on the back are flashing green which indicates it is receiving power, but otherwise it’s giving no sign on life. Any ideas what may be the issue?
I have an SBG7600AC2 surfboard. I am trying to reset my password and customize my network name through the web manager. However, when I enter in the “old password,” I keep getting a message that the old password is incorrect even though I’ve inputted it in correctly numerous times. Please help. Thank you
I can’t get log into my SGB7600. Error message saying too many attempts (after one) and I’m locked out. I have always owned surfboards and have not had issues like this with any of them. The default password doesn’t work. Resetting it doesn’t work. “Password” doesn’t work. This is garbage. I am so frustrated. I work from home and need my network running correctly, now. I refuse to rent one from spectrum (thieves) but seriously, why is everyone having the same issue? This sounds like a product problem not a user problem.
I have been using the ARRIS surfboard modem/router Model SBG7600AC2 in 2.4GHz for awhile and it works great. When I try to switch to 5G it asks for a different password. How do I set up a different password for 5G? The only password I have is the one for the 2.4GHz and I don’t remember how I set that up! Thanks,
After logging into the Arris gateway, the parental controls page is greyed out and unusable, as described at this link:https://arris.my.salesforce-sites.com/consumers/articles/General_FAQs/SBG7600AC2-Parental-Controls-Disabled/?l=en_US&fs=RelatedArticleThe unusable page is accompanied by a pop-up stating:“ARRIS recommends using the McAfee Secure Home Internet for Parental Control functions. Visit the ARRIS Android and APPLE Play stores for the Mobile Application to manage this service. Please refer to Secure Home Internet documentation at SURFboard.com for more information.” This message is, of course, somewhat difficult to parse, and references the nonexistent “APPLE Play store”When downloading the “McAfee Secure Home Internet” app onto my mobile phone (already ridiculous having to do this), I am met with a page asking for my Mcafee e-mail address. When I input my e-mail address, which is already associated with a Mcafee account, I get an error saying “Sorry, we couldn’t verify
My cable modem is three weeks out of warranty as of July 12, 2023. I power it down every night and leave it off until morning.I am the only one in the house so it gets used to stream and for some internet with the computer. Over the last year randomly on startup in the morning I would have to switch the computer cable ports because it would not connect to the computer until I did that. Randomly during the day the modem would turn off and then take a long time to boot back up. I thought it was the cable company doing it but now I find differently. On August 5, 2023 on first boot in the morning the system booted as usual then after a minute it shutoff and rebooted for no reason. It took about 5 minutes for it to get to the point where all the lights were lit on the front except the on line light. I tried a manual reset which did not help, I called my provider and they tried to ping the modem and I was told they could not detect the modem. I checked all the connections at that time and fo
My Arris SBG7600AC2 cable Wi-Fi modem has 4 Ethernet ports. I currently have all 4 in use. It appears the one I had connected to my PC for Internet connectivity has gone out. I have no Internet connection in this scenario. The green light is not blinking on this port, but is on the other 3. I used a cable tester to make sure the Ethernet cable was good, and it is. I plugged this cable in another Ethernet port (with blinking green light) on my cable modem and I get Internet connectivity to my PC. When my Ethernet connection is to this apparently bad port, and thus I have no Internet connection, I can use the Wi-Fi connection to the PC and I am successful in getting an Internet connection, but I’d prefer a wired connection. I can get around my issue by moving my wired connection to my printer to the Mesh network Ethernet port (which is using one of the good cable modem Ethernet ports), and then using that freed-up good/working port for my PC Ethernet connection. But, I had rather
Hello. I am trying to get a shell on my SBG7600AC2, Bootcode Version 184.108.40.206, Hardware Version 2, Firmware Version 9.1.103AA78. I’m starting to love my previous modem (Actiontec Q1000) more, as it had a way to enable telnet and allowed me to use neat tools such as xdslctl to diagnose connectivity issues. Anyways, I have gone through all the web interface configuration pages and can find no such thing on my SBG7600AC2. I have searched the internet for results, apparently someone found there is a technician account with a password of the day. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get any combination to work. I contacted my ISP but they said they don’t set anything and didn’t know what I was talking about. Does anyone have any ideas?
I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm trying to Port Forward on my SBG7600AC2 . The program in question uses port 24872. I've tried just about everything I could find/think of, and I just can't get canyouseeme or any other port checker to detect the port as open (they just time out); on the program's end, no one is able to connect to my room. It seems that I can’t get any ports open. Here are the steps I've taken: Assigned a static IP to my PC through control panel > network and sharing center - connection name > properties > TCP/IPv4 > Properties > Use the following IP address. The subnet is correct, and the Default Gateway and my assigned IP address are different. I've tried using multiple numbers within my range. I've tried a few different Preferred and Alternate DNS, including 220.127.116.11 / 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124 / 126.96.36.199. Logged into Router and added a Port Forward for the program, using UDP (and UDP/TCP at one point), making sure that the Private IP address is my
My 1 year old sbg7600 loses internet 5-6 times per day for 20+ minutes a time. I cannot find any support for this product that is still in warranty. This is the third Arris system that has failed in under 2 years. Unbelievable lack of quality from such a big brand. I'm surprised Best Buy still carries it.
Recently bought a SURFboard 5G7600AC2. When I try to activate SURFboard Central on my iPhone SE 2020 and iPad Mini 5 I get error message “Wi-Fi Communication Error” even though I’m connected to the Internet on both devices. Have spoken with two ARRIS technical support agents and neither one could figure out what the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is there a general consensus what the lifespan of a router is? I’m ok with the speed but I get random interruptions in my devices which causes them to reset poorly. I only know it to be true because I have alexa that really gets thrown when it loses connection. I have had the SBG7600AC2 for a few years now and while I wish it had a little more range, I can see thats is not the problem since the lights go out on the modem themselves. I love the combo units that save me from renting from xfinity. house is about 1700 square feet. Lets say I do upgrade to SURFboard G34 that is currently on sale. if someone was to recommend a extender to help me boost the signal to the further away echos and give me a decent signal outback, what would you recommend? oh also idk why but every once in awhile with my new computer I have to restart it to get internet from the Ethernet port. I find it weird I can connect ot wifi but I figure thats more on my computer then it is is the router/modem combo.
I just installed my new Surfboard 7600 and all is working fine and the app works fine. During the setup process the app generated a complex password for the admin user which I have a copy of.However when I go to the web interface and try to login as the admin user it says that either the password is bad or there were too many failed logins. How do I get the web interface login to admin to work? Thanks
