The router is correctly set up with ISP, able to restart router from xfinity app, but can’t get the router to connect to phone or surfboard app. Intro packet has different SSID and password than on the box, even successfully scanned the QR on modem and still said it couldn’t find the network, any ideas?

In this case we would suggest you to try performing Hard reset on the modem then try using the WIFI credentials mentioned on the modem label and setup the surfboard central app  manually. please follow the steps mentioned on the below article.

We understand that you are unable to connect to the Wi-Fi network of SBG6950 AC2 so after doing the Reset,  check if are you able to identify the default Wi-FIi name and Wi-Fi security key which is located at the bottom of the physical device and try to connect it. Hope you wil be able to connect.

Please ignore the Wi-Fi name and Wi-Fi security key on the box that the device had been packed.
