CableLabs Certified, DOCSIS, and Euro-DOCSIS are the industry standards for high-speed data distribution over cable television system networks. DOCSIS applies to North American and Euro-DOCSIS applies to Europe. Countries outside these 2 regions may choose to adhere to one of the 2 standards. They are intended to ensure that all compliant cable modems interface with all compliant cable systems.
