I have an Arris S33v2 modem with an unreadable serial number.  The label on the bottom of the modem is damaged, and the serial number and MAC address have been obliterated.  I cannot login to the modem directly, as the old default password “password” doesn’t work.  Apparently the new default password is the last 8 characters of the serial number, which I cannot read.How can I solve this problem?

Say’s my G34 and serial number don’t match when I go to register the product.

New G34 Surfboard Modem/Router all in one, bought today.  For some reason, the wifi works, but the ethernet connection only show up as “Unidentified network.  No internet access”  i can’t even use the faster ethernet port connection...any ideas?

This app has got to be the worst app. I have the G36 and parental controls do not work. My kids can still access anything even when everything is blocked and activated so their devices should not be able to access the internet. It’s crazy. The web version is way more effective, but still poor.

I just set up a new G54 modem and the WiFi is not working. It’s not broadcasting any signals. I have Xfinity service and it’s showing I’m connected. My computer is connected via Ethernet and it’s working. Does anyone know what could be the problem? 

I just switched and updated to the G20 modem/router. I have been able to connect my phone to it but no other devices are able to connect.  When I look on the dashboard, it only shows my phone. The password is correct but it won't connect. How do I fix this? 

I installed a brand new G20.  Since then I've been having issues with location services on betting sites but only on my desktop.  Rebooting the gateway fixes the issues for a little bit of time but eventually the issue returns.  Its happens on multiple sites.  Sites like Google Maps are unaffected.  FYI I am not using the onboard WiFi radios - they are disabled - because the modem is in my basement and I have other APs that broadcast an existing WiFi network that I have been using for a long time. 

Hello everyone, does anyone have any idea what this means ? When i go onto my router webpage( optimum is the cable provider) and go on the downstream connection page, which shows many channels, the latest is it says i am on channel 159 and it show a lot of corrected and  uncorrectables any ideas what this means? 

Hello, we have a SBG8300.I got a new phone and the surfboard central app has me starting over with set up, but it claims it doesn't support my model and directs me to the other surfboard app. The other surfboard apps needs a log in, and I can only get that log in info from the central app that I'm forced to restart set up on. Unsure how to proceed. We can still use our Wi-Fi, but I have no way to get in there to change or update anything

Internet just stopped, but it’s not the ISP. The modem Power light goes green then off and all the lights cycle on and off. This happens repeatedly. I have unplugged, reset, tried a new outlet. Could it be the AC unit that’s not getting the power to the modem? I can’t contact support because the site won’t proceed past “Check Warranty” with the Model # & S/N on the device. Not being able to get ahold of Arris is obnoxious!

My router’s ethernet port is only 10/100. Can I use the second ethernet port on the T25 to connect directly to my PC for faster speed? I would only use the router modem connection for Wi-Fi.

Able to access LG TV WebOs Wi-Fi connection using default password after hard reset. Unable to access LG apps due to “Server Can’t Be Trusted”

Tried 3 different browsers. All time out. Issue is with getting new TV to access Wi-Fi Network through SVG2482AC. It worked fine on old TV. Old password apparently forgotten. Would like to try resetting password

How do I know the password or username 

Is there something I’m doing/have done wrong so that my “parental controls” are slower than a frozen slug?My phone (Samsung Galaxy S25) is connected to the 5GHz network, I’m 3 feet away from it, and when I go into the parental control section it takes a literal minute and a half to go from one screen to the next - ie, from the list of profiles to get into my son’s list of devices, it just now took me 103 seconds. And even then, things I do sometimes, but not always, save - and other times it just disappears into the ether. I want to do it on my desktop, but I can’t because parental controls can’t be done from a desktop.I have tried “turn it off, turn it back on,” re-synching the phone to the router, etc.ANY help greatly appreciated.

All of the devices on my sbg8300 network are showing up on the arris web interface but only 1 device is showing up on surfboard central app on my iphone 13 pro. I tried uninstalling the app, rebooting the sbg8300, and then reinstalling the app. I also tried the factory reset of the sbg8300.

We have been using the S33 for our customers and they have worked well. We received S33v3 on our latest order but they will not switch from the default 42mhz upstream limit to the mid-split 85mhz limit. Do we need a new config file and if so, how do we get it?

In my area, Spectrum just upgrade their cable to “symmetrical” (sometimes called “full duplex”) signaling.  Even though they list the SBG8300 as a supported product, they basically said “tough”. Is there a firmware upgrade available that will make the the SBG8300 work on a symmetrical network ?

Printer test results say MAC address filtering is preventing it from connecting.  How do I change this? 

Password reset 

My SB6190 modem started to randomly restart and I stopped using the device. I would like to submit a warranty claim but the website failed to identify registration number and model to get warranty status. I then I tried to register the product and save issue. The website failed to identify registration number and model again. 

I try to use live chat support but warranty checker unable to find my serial. 

Hello,I have an S33v3 modem that I purchased about six months ago.Since the thunderstorms at the end of September, the modem has been losing connection on the second upstream channel and is repeatedly showing T3 and T4 errors.My ISP (Xfinity) has already replaced all cables and splitters and performed maintenance on the street line. My neighbors’ modems no longer experience T3/T4 issues—only mine continues to drop the second upstream channel every few hours.Restarting the modem temporarily resolves the problem, but the issue always returns.I suspect the modem may have been damaged during the storm. Is this possible?And if so, would this be covered under the warranty? Also I try to find my warranty info but it says unable to find my serial number.

I talked to support briefly and they suggested changing the password.  Can anyone help please ?
