I have been having issues with my connection while playing WoW pretty consistently. They happen about every 30 minutes or 1 hour. It doesn’t happen on any other time interval.These are the things I’ve tried:I contacted my ISP and they say there is no issue on their end. I asked my ISP to see if there was a firmware update that was needed. I flushed my DNS. I tried wireless. I tried plugging directly into the modem. I reset the router. I restart the router. I checked my PC for all updates including bios updates. I checked my signal levels and they are all within the recommended range. I contacted my ISP again and had them reprovision my modem. I tried lowering the firewall settings and that didn’t fix anything. I do not have a separate firewall connected to the G54 gateway.When I get my disconnects, I always have the following notice in my firewall logs:firewall: Reloading firewall due to ifupdate of wan (eth4)  I know its not my computer because I connect to my neighbors wifi and I had

For the past couple of months, my internet speed has been irregular and sluggish. Lately it’s barely coming through at all. My internet provider said I need to check that it’s not a modem issue before they send someone out again.Is there a way to check if it’s a modem issue or a wifi issue?

Is there a mesh wifi router that is compatible with a arris surfboard g20.  I am having issues with wifi reaching other rooms and devices.

Internet speed is slow.  Sparklight says they are unable to update the software on their end because they keep getting an error message.  how do i fix this.  

A few questions.Locked out after trying what I thought was a good password too many times.How long before it will let me try again?Should I go back to factory settings then create another new password?Working one connecting my new HP printer today 2/6/26.Purchased my Arris - E46D - 5G modem/router about 5 years ago. Is it time for a new one?Thanks!

I have an Arris SURFboard G34 DOCSIS 3.1 Wi-Fi Cable ModemPN: SBG00DAY34SN: 25A5 G748 ---- ---ISP: Cox Communications (100 Mbps service)Location: Alexandria, VAOokla Speedtest reports 100 Mbps one minute.5-10 minutes later it's down to 20 Mbps.5-10 minutes later, it’s back up to 100 MbpsI called Cox.After every router remote reset, the speeds tested at >100 Mbps 3-4 times in a row.5-10 minutes later the speeds are down to 20 Mbps.Cox is sending a truck out to check the cable leading to the house.Is the problem with the Arris cable modem?Is the problem in the coaxial cable?Is the problem with Cox?And why can't I do a firmware upgrade on this box?It has to be over 3 years old.Would new firmware help?

 Tech support for the printer said that my security can’t be “6” and needs to be decreased to 4 or 5. I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. 

Power light on. Two boxes below have blue lights on. Bottom signal blue light flashing.  World net white light seems on but all devices in house indicate connected but no internet.  No longer have Ethernet plug on anything to check directly hard wired from the box 

I am using a G34. I set up a profile and added devices to the profile along with start and stop times however the devices added to the profile are still connected to the wifi past the stop time. 

I purchased a new EECO7 router and am unable to get an internet connection when I hook up direct to my model S33. Everything works fine when connected to my old Apple Tower router  and my Ecco will connect to the internet when hard wired to the Apple . Tried all the unplugging and resetting multiple times. What’s preventing me from connecting to the S33? 

Hi,I had bought G36 modem 3 yrs back which I am trying to re-install now.  I have registered the modem with Xfinity and the Wifi router is working.  My phone and laptop is connected to the Wifi.  I would like to change the Wifi/modem password but unable to do this.  My SBC app is not connecting to the modem and hence unable to setup the app; also logged into the web interface using 192.168.0.1 but it’s not letting me login, saying “Invalid login credentials”.  Is there a way to reset the web interface login credentials so that I can connect through the web interface and change my modem password? Appreciate your help please.Thanks much,Prantik

Hello, I have an old Motorola Surfboard modem/router SBG6580-G228.I had to get a new notebook computer.I do not remember the ID / Password to sign into the router.Went to 192.168.100.1.I can connect wirelessly using Motorola_Guest, but not Motorola-66291 which needs a password.Using new ASUS G814PH with Windows 11 Home Edition.Any assistance appreciated. Thanks,Jim 

I’ve setup a port forwarding rule for 7342 to be forwarded to an ssh server process I have running on port 7342 on my desktop host on 192.168.0.211.  I can ssh to localhost on that desktop, but not my public IP.   System Logs show the rule being set to Inactive as soon as I set it.   

Existing password to login was not validated. Tried “password”. Invalid. Did 3 factory resets. Unresolved. Tried S/N last 8 digits. Invalid. I can see from initial screen that modem was factory reset. however it will not validate passwords. How to flash whatever is stuck in this modem?

My ISP (Sparklight) informed me that their firmware is only for V1 devices with version AB01.02.053.05_051921, and their notes specifically state it cannot be used for V2 or V3. I need to obtain the firmware from Arris. My current firmware version is TB01.01.001.05_012122_212.0A. Could you please advise where I can get the latest firmware for my SB00DAD38200V2RT? thanks

Just got the w122 mesh system with the w11 satellite. I got the main router to work but can't get the satellite to work. It goes through the whole process, says its been added and that it will start a network optimization and that it will take 15 minutes but then about a half hour later I get this screen. So I try restarting my modem, restarting my router, and factory resetting my satellite and starting over and have tried atleast 10 times on a galaxy s24 and an iPhone 15 (both on their latest firmware and uninstalled/reinstalled the surfboard central app) and always get the same thing. 

It seems that the S34 modem is unavailable throughout the market place suggesting a supply chain issue.  Does anyone here have any information when the S34 will become available for purchase again?

New Hampshire Spectrum just updated there network dropping DOCSIS 3.0 support.  Once they did this my SBG-8300 stopped having internet access. The WIFI works just no internet. I called spectrum and they dispatched a technician to check the connection to the Arris SBG-8300 which says on the box the modem supports DOCSIS 3.1 and is on the spectrum support site as a supported Modem.  Tested the connection for signal which passed.  He then tested the modem and told me the modem did not support DOCSIS 3.1 and is no longer compatible with Spectrum. He has had several customers with this modem that has suddenly stopped working post update. I called Arris, I needed AI to find the support number for Arris, not something readily shared. The support rep told me they were not going to support the modem.  If this was a damaged modem I would not have an issue, but this a built in incompatibility issue. I have a new G34 and have connected to my ISP ( Xfinity). I have downloaded the mobile app and presently have Wi-Fi in my house using the factory SSID username and password. I am trying to change my SSID and password and so far have failed. I enter a new SSID and password with the required alphanumeric characters and nothing happens. Initially I was getting the "blinking circle" and now nothing is happening. I have read the directions and followed them as listed but no luck. Any advice would be appreciated Thank you
