SURFboard Central App Feedback

Had issues with the modem. Mobile app does nothing to help troubleshoot. In fact it does nothing. I already had the Fing app, so that is a worthless addon.Will never buy Arris again.

Basically the passwords provided for GUI are way way too short and hackable. I need ones that are over 20 characters long to be safe. And the ability to change them at will.If I change the password in the GUI then the app no longer works as the change does not “cross over”, which means I always have to change it back to original in the GUI to then check the app, then back again to the longer password in the GUI, which is totally silly.I have searched and searched in the app, with zero success. How do I change the GUI admin password using the app, so that both the app and the GUI have the same password (but longer and more secure)?Help.

You cannot use the same cell phone and app to set up an Arris Mesh Router in a second home. It must be set up using a different cell and app. This is a major inconvenience. It would be nice if the cell phone app could be used to set up, uniquely identify, and control Arris Mesh router systems in different physical locations (i.e. homes). This should be a simple change to the app.

Trying to install surfboard central on my phone, since I already have an account it keeps saying sign-in required so I need to enter the password,but there is no where to enter it!  In a continuous loop with this.  Solution???

I currently have an Arris cable TV set-top box (HMC-4000) from my cable TV provider, which allows me to watch TV programs on the same WiFi network without competing for the TV with my family. This is a great feature. However, due to WiFi security concerns, I need to separate the WiFi network from the local area network. Could you please advise me on how to use an app to specify the IP address of the set-top box, instead of relying on the app to search for the set-top box within the same local area network? Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I had to recreate an account because the app wasn’t recognizing my email. But now that I did, when logging into the app (or trying to) I get a message pop up saying the account has been updated and to go to the website to a drop down menu. But there is nothing in the drop down menu to help me. Why can’t I get into the app. min also trying to connect to a Wi-Fi extender and I’m wondering if I need the app to do so since the modem doesn’t have a WPS

The app doesn’t seem to work…the only way you can manage the modem (that is actually connected) is through the ip address 192.168.1.0 and login that way.  Hopefully they can fix this app~super frustrating!!!
