To verify, there’s no method to view connected devices on a guest network. The network has the following setup. G36 (bridge mode enabled) to two W61/161s (one main, other satellite). 2 networks - XXXX (2.4 GHz) & XXXX-5 (5 GHz) plus 1 guest network, XXXX-G. I cannot monitor/view connected devices on the guest network (XXXX-G). Pls verify that’s true.

Why is the W31 router not listed in any of the device setup menus if it’s not an outdated device? I restarted my router through the surfboard central app and it’s now stuck on blinking between yellow and blue, indefinitely. I manually restarted the router, unplugged it for 1-3 minutes. I held down the restart button for 30 seconds. I pressed restart in the app again. I can’t re-add the device because you’re not listing it in any of the device setup menus so I can start a new network from scratch. Why would you do that?

when setting up my network, there are instructions to allow the "SURFBoard-Onboarding' wifi network and then to add a second secured network. i would like to secure them both. how do i do this?/

How do I enable Port Forwarding?

I just bought the W21 Surfboard units and I’m attempting to set a wired backhaul. I adopted the Main W21 and got it fully up and operational without issues. Main W21:WAN: Xfinity Router I then did the adoption process for the Satellite unit and got it setup and connected. It established it’s WiFi link to the Main router and devices connected and worked. Speeds were low at about 0.5 GB but wasn’t planning on leaving it wireless anyway. Adopted to the following:Main W21: WAN: Xfinity RouterLAN: Adopted W21 Satellite Satellite W21:WAN: to the LAN of the Main W21. The app shows the Satellite W21 getting an IP from the Main W21 with a LAN IP address but it refuses to make the backhaul and keeps connecting wirelessly. I’ve factory reset everything and tried all over again to no avail. Any suggestions?

I have full internet connection, yet my router (WC4T) is still flashing green and white every second. When I attempt to reinstall the router via the app, I reach the point of registering my device, and I get an error message with an error code “0003-1014” with the comment that “Service is currently not available” with the statement “We are experiencing an issue connecting with our back office”. I’ve disconnected the modem (S33) and router, reconnected the modem and then the router with the same result each time. Anyone know what’s going on?

Hi, I have followed all the steps given on various knowledge articles to see if the parent control works on this new routers we bought. But none have worked. I have reset router, reset the iOS app, deleted and redownloaded it but none works. Once I turn on the internet pause nothing happens and kids continue to stay on their PCs. What is the issue here?

I got the surfboard working great, but then all of a sudden it’s crashed and I can bring it back it’s hooked up through Ethernet line & is fiber this happens before, which caused me to box it up and forget it. is the AT&T modem blocking the arris WiFi satellites & if so, how do get it to grant access anyone else have this issue

What did I just buy? This router can’t be configured via LAN? I bought this router to be a dedicated offline local network to use Virtual Desktop with my VR headset. I can not believe that you can even create a device like this and force us into an app this way. It’s absolutely terrible. Why is this app asking for access to ALL MY PHOTOS AND VIDEOS? Why can it not get passed the code verification screen? Why can’t I use a default gateway to access the router? This is an absolute nightmare, and I will NEVER waste my time or money with this company again. I’m about to throw this thing at the wall. This is robbery, you want me to make an account, serve me ads and put me on your email lists, steal all the info from my cell phone, and it is the absolute WORST ethics I have EVER experienced with a networking device. Add Arris to the list of never buy again. Thanks for giving me a garbage product and a lucrative way for me to waste my money.

I’ve setup my W161 mesh. I’d also like to add another satellite for a set up of 1 main router and 2 satellite routers, after numerous set up tries the satellite to be added continuous to reflects a pink light. So, what are the steps to take to change the operation mode of my W161 to Access Point Mode?

I’ve spent a total of days trying to figure out how to set up and access the network settings of the W130 mesh system. I can set up wifi, but the app crashes on multiple devices (spanning Android 9 to 15) if I touch any area of my screen to access any menus after very initial setup. Given the number of complaints and that the software, with these issues, hasn’t been updated since Feb 24th (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arris.sbc&hl=en_US), when can we expect the app to actually be fixed?

I just got my w130 mesh routers and initially couldn’t connect to internet. next day could get to internet and no SW update available. Created SSID and password crashed. restarted the whole process multiple times this time checks for SW updates and just times out error same as above post or BT disconnects. I’m hoping tomorrow the servers are functioning and either there are no updates or the updates get installed. I would like to get back to being able to create SSID and PW. I’m hoping servers are down causing this issue.

Hi, I just setup a 3 pack of the W21 mesh routers, and the horrible app aside, I’m having a couple of issues with guest network. It seems to be only on the 2.4GHz band and not 5GHz. This should at least be configurable. Putting this aside for now. The main issue is the guest network is only broadcast from the main router node, and not the satellite nodes. And if any of the nodes are swapped around, the same node that was the main node will keep broadcasting the guest network, but the new main node will not. This is very strange and frustrating as the whole point of a mesh is to spread the wifi throughout a wide area, there is no point to only broadcasting the network from one node. Plus the way that the guest network config seems to “stick” to the node that was set up with it suggests that it’s an issue of the guest network config not propagating to the satellites when it’s configured. And yes, I’ve tried turning the guest network off and back on (a seemingly simple task but a nightmar

Just installed W21 mAX AX6600 (1 router, 2 satellites). I have fiber modem providing internet to main router connected to the WAN port. Main router is connected to an unmanaged 1gb switch via LAN port that provides wired Ethernet to the two satellites. I have the Cat5e going into the Lan ports on the satellites. The app is telling me my data link to the satellites is slow (0.40gbps). Any idea what I need to do to fix this?

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but this app is a hot piece of garbage and I have no earthly idea how it ever got past QA. If I close the app then it forgets everything and acts like im setting up a new network. The ONLY way I am prompted to sign in with my email is during initial setup only after uninstalling the app. The only time the app shows any details about connected devices or anything is after initially setting up the first node IF I dont close out of the app for any reason. Regardless, Ive managed to get the first device setup but no matter what I do I cannot add another satellite. Clicking the option in the side menu just takes me to the My Network page which is perpetually “Loading...” If I close out of the app in order to relaunch then it forgets everything. If I redo setup then it fails when adding a satellite. Im seriously at a loss on what to do. I can honestly say I have never experienced a worse provisioning process… and I worked in IOT for 10 years… Does anyone have

How do I configue setting 6Ghz and 2.4Ghz wifi signal name for mAX 6E W161? I want to match my old router name, so I don’t need to change all my camera and other smart home devices.

I have the Arris Surfboard Max Ax6600 mesh system and I’m attempting to have them connected to my existing router to act as an extender. How do I connect it to my existing WiFi network and turn on bridge mode? It only gave me the option to create a new network.

I installed arris wi-fi6E. I see unknown ARRIS wifi ssid, this ssid intermittently appears. any idea what this is ? thanks

I bought brand new routers from you and they are failing to initialize

I just got 3 W21 mesh wifi system. Downloaded the surfboard central app and went through the steps, once it's searching for updates it gives a error code 0000-1401. I've done resets on the modem and all the W21 devices and tried each on the app but having the same issue

I bought 3 w21 mesh routers. Im on the latest version of the surfboard central app. My issue is every time is go to connect, the w21 starts to update in the app and never gets past the update part. It always fails everytime. I'm doing pass through from the at&t bgw320-500 router. Even the support were no help. Is there away to just bypass the update part? Any info is welcome thanks

Just got the mesh system from woot and still trying to separate the bands with multiple ssids. Like to keep all my Alexa/Smart stuff on the 2.4 band. Right now, I do not have that option in the central app like what everyone posted. Did they remove that option?

How to remove a satellite?

Hello- I follow all of the appropriate steps to setup my router and when I get to the connection phase it slows down to nothing. Furthest I got was 5% and then it gives me an error with setup. I’ve reset the unit multiple times. I unplugged the modem and waiting 10 minutes, then rebooted that and let it connect. The lights are flashing white and green so it’s in the right spot but just wont continue on. This is for a DSL connection with new router that has never been setup before. Setting up on an Iphone running the latest software with the latest app. Utilizing the Surfboard Central app. Any suggestions?

I am unable to log into the Surfboard Central app on IOS. I get to the point of the code verification. I entered in the code that was sent to my email. The page says “code verified”, but then underneath that it says “Wrong input parameter types”. I can’t get past this page to log into the app. I tried downloading the app on 3 different IOS phones and iPads and i get the same issue. Does anyone know how to get passed this??
