Power supply stop working.
I bought SURFboard MAX w133 in 04/22 in EUA so I configured the modem today (04/25) at my home in Brazil.One of these power supplies stopped working a few hours later on my first setup.I tested the modems and both are working. What do I need to do to get support to replace?
w31 online but status is offline
Dows anyone know why the W30/ax7800 router and satellite both show as “offline” in the app but are online and working with devices connected to them? The app os also showing that its connected in limited remote management mode but the device connecting to the app is on the wifi only with cellular turned off, does anyone know why and how to solve? Thanks
Installing a switch with SurfBoard mesh system
We have a SurfBoard SB8200 feeding two SurfBoard Max 6600 Mesh routers.We have several devices that need to be connected using ethernet. Since there’s only one port on the mesh routers I got a switch. This is proving to be problematic at best. One of the devices isn’t even showing up on the network.Is there some sort of trick to this?TIA
Using W130 (W30 two units) as satellites with G36 modem router
Hi. I wasn’t sure which forum this post should go in since it concerns my wifi modem and mesh system.Previously, I used an Orbi CBR40 and two Orbi satellites for my mesh system. I’ve been having issued for the last several month with my wifi dropping despite no issues with my internet service. After going through troubleshooting and consulting Netgear forums, I decided to upgrade my system.I purchased a G36 and a W130 max mesh system. The setup of the G36 went off without a hitch, but I can’t seem to figure out the W130’s. Initially, I plugged a W30 module in to power and selected “add Device” using the surfboard central app. This didn’t work, so using the Ethernet cable I connected it to the G36 and selected “add device” once again. I got it to connect, but it was acting as it’s own router and not a satellite. After some research, it looks like I’m supposed to set it up as a “bridge” system, so I removed the W30 from the system/app and followed the bridge set up, but the app just trie
Arris S33 with 2 AX6600 W121 on COX
Satellite W121 wont complete registration. Surfboard central app (android) sits and spins and locks up while registering the W121. The satellite goes blue so I force close the app, restart, and the satellite is recognized for a second and then disappears but is still blue. This system was a pain to set up, just the bit I got to work took about 5 resets and power cycles and then to find out that only 1 port is usable on the modem…. Only thing I can think to do is to factory reset everything, uninstall the app, swap the W121 spots and start over, but I’m not sure it’ll come back up and my entire house is a smart house and this is like an entire day event. Any suggestions?
W31 Router Connection Drop
I recently purchased a new W31 router and S33 modem to upgrade my home network and replace my previous COX hardware. Everything was going good until suddenly the router would start flashing white LED’s and drop all signal. The S33 at the same time remained Blue and connected. I have reviewed the settings and other community posts and am at a loss on why this is happening. There are no outages in the area and I haven’t been able replicated the issue. Has anyone else experienced these issues or may know of a solution to this problem?
Cannot log into Modem or Router
I have been trying and trying to log into my Arris Modem and Router. I have reset both numerous times and still get invalid user id password error message.Like the performance of the Arris modem and router, but it has been true disappointing pain trying to log into the modem and router to change default username & password for more security. I would also look at other settings, etc.Looking at others questions and comment this must be a pain for many users!I have used Netgear products in the past and never had issues like this logging into the router, etc.Arris you should be better than this!
Failure to Configure your router Error Code 0000-1603
I have been unable to access my router with the Android app. It wasn't able to find anything on my network. I factory reset the router to set it up again. The app discovered the router and connected to the Internet. There was no new firmware for it to download, but when it went to register the router it was threw an error. I get the error message "Failure to Configure your router." Error Code 0000-1603I am unable to setup my router now and it's just stuck in setup mode. I'm at a stand still. I tried 5 times and have hard reset multiple times.
Anyone care to recommend appropriate Arris router to deliver high speed wifi in my house? I have Spectrum 500 mbps service and Spectrum-provided modem so looking for router only. Disappointed with another vendor’s router that when connected to the Spectrum modem delivered only 100 mbps wifi. Looking for Arris product that will deliver 300-500 mbps wifi with capacity to support faster speeds if I upgrade my Spectrum service in the future. Support for telephones not needed.
W130 QoS/Device Priority list
I have a “Plus W130” and I can access the Surfboard app just fine. My network is set up fine. But for the life of me. I can’t figure out this Device Priority settings menu.Once I tap on Add Device, I see a list of … things and it wont let me scroll at all. I’ve discovered that I have to just keep attempting to scroll and on the .. 12th or 20th time I try, it might respond and then scroll down a little bit, stop again, then I’ll have to repeat the process. That’s annoying, but I can deal with it now that I know it will .. some times work. What I CAN’T deal with:…. why in the WORLD are there devices listed as “Device”??? What is this? Device? What does that tell me about what I’m trying to prioritize? NONE of these entries even match what I have listed in my devices menu. I have computers and laptops set up with their own unique names and I can verify their IP addresses and make sure all of that information is correct - but when I go into the Device Priority Settings and attempt
Can't add additional satellite
I just received my SURFboard Max Dash AC3800, I've installed the first unit without any issues. However I am unable to install the second satellite, I don't even get the option to go through the setup process. I just keep receiving the same error code 0003-1009. I've been trying for over 24 hours, any help or assistance would be great, I've already disconnected my previous mesh system in favour of SURFboard. Without the additional satellite my WiFi devices are too far away from the main satellite to maintain a good connection.
How to Setup porn blocker on W21 mesh router
Hello everyone, I am trying to establish a porn block on my wifi. I just recently installed the SB8200 modem with W21 mesh routers (2 in use). When I enter the IP address into my web browser, I only get my modem and not the router, therefore, I’m not getting any of the options to change the DNS server settings. The parental controls on the surfboard app only allow me to block certain devices from accessing the wifi. But I need to allow the devices to be in use, just block any adult content. Thanks, Jeff
Mesh Extender with Wired Connection
I have an Arris AX 6600 Tri-Band W21 mesh router. It works just fine for most devices (phone, tablet) throughout the house, but the WiFi connection to my NVidia Shield (for TV) appears to suffer from throttling at times. Usually, SpeedTest results are 400mbps when everything is working correctly however, there are times when it fails to connect or just drops out.I’m looking for an extender with a wired (cable) connection which will allow me to connect the NVidia Shield to the W21 mesh router, thus maximizing the signal strength / speed which take advantage of the W21’s capabilities.Any suggested devices would be welcome.
W133 Cannot Connect to Internet
Just bought a new S33 and W133 setup to replace my rental Xfiniti XiFi. I've got the S33 setup and finally can get to the Internet with my laptop and S33 connected to a managed Netgear switch. I connected the first W133 using the WAN port and no matter what I do the Surfboard Central app will connect to the W133 via bluetooth but will not get past the the connection to the Internet (again the wired connected laptop does). The error code is 0000-1303.I've run an IP scan on the wired network and only the S33, Netgear (mgt port) and laptop show up. I suspect the W133 is using the 192.168.7.0/24 space where the S33 is using the 192.168.100.0/24 space. Who's genius idea was it to put the startup IPs on different networks? I tried to setup my laptop to the 192.168.7.0/24 network to connect to the W133 via the wired connection but I got a message that says that the WebUI is disabled by default...another genius idea. W21 Boot Loop, Factory Reset does not work
I have 3 x W21 that I am using as APs in Bridged Mode behind a SonicWALL TZ400. I was having issues, so I reset all of them and switched them around. The one that was my MAIN AP is now in a boot loop. I have tried the factory reset several times, but it remains in the boot loop.Any suggestions?
surfboard central application
I’ve installed the surfboard central application on my iPhone. This process was laborious as the W31 with satellite was push through the setup…. I would like to also install this same application to my iPAD but have been unable. May attempts heals the same result. Failure. I am not boarding a new W31 router but rather installing the surfboard central application to a second mobile device. Please help.
Virgin V3 in Modem Mode
I have a Virgin V3 Fibre modem Router, my set up is in Modem Mode and therefore acts as a modem only, during my set up I connected Via WAN Arris to #1 Out Lan on the V3 as it is the only port that has output - everything else is disabled. My connection during setup I chose the Fibre option but looking back it has its own WiFi and I am having a few issues keep going offline (think I should have chose the top one Cable Modem Only) and unable to secure a good Mobile speed check or internet speed check and the Lan connected appliances have no speeds attached, is this normal ? I have a W121 Arris set up.
How to wire and configure wired backhaul satellite
I would like to try ethernet wiring my AX600 satellite. What port do I use on the satellite device and do I need to set it up or will it realize that it is in ethernet? If I need to set it up, how? I tried plugging it in to an ethernet cable and it seems to stay on the wireless backhaul. How do I check the backhaul connection?
