Downloading System Update Stuck at 0% Information on SBC app - G54

To hopefully help troubleshoot the problem and share my experience and how I proceeded with my setup, here is the information that I have.  Installed the Surfboard Central version 4.3.2 app on my Pixel 7 Pro with Android version 14.Began the setup/activation process from within the Surfboard Central app.  I did have a hiccup trying to activate the until on my Xfinity app but worked around until overcame that issue so that in the end the unit was successfully activated.At that point I went back into the Surfboard Central app and backed my way out of it and started over again this time selecting that the modem was already activated.  I did not take note of the order of prompts after that but I was at the point where I was prompted to start the tutorial of the app and had not confirmed that I did indeed want to go through the tutorial when the downloading screen covered everything up.  After being stuck at the downloading at 0% for a long period of time, I think I gave it a half hour or a

SBR-AC3200P cant connect wifi and failed to update firmware

Upgrade firmware failed, then the router goes to abnormal status. RJ45 cannot get the IP address. WIFI can login, but it will display configuration guide only. The configuration process cannot finish, and then the router hangs.Tried RESET, but the problem is same. Any method could rescue the router?

g34 >192.168.0.1 certificate not valid on chrome using lan cable

i would strongly recommend not buying arris modem/router g34, reason being this issue is at least 4 years old and still not fixed. issue is modem/router acess certificate not valid because 192.168.0.1 is not https, so chrome thinks its not safe to acess (and i’m using a lan cable) therefore no acess unless a hard reset is done almost everytime you want to acess modem/router interface and the surfboard app is only for phones NOT DESKTOP available, so if you shut down wifi, in order to turn it on you cant until you do a hard reset almost every time now, i purchaesd this 3 months ago on 1/1/24 all my other modem/routers never had this problem, as an engineering acronym KISS (keep it simple stupid) is not working here, its a good modem/router not returning it but will not buy another arris product ever again

Issue with Arris G36 with Xfinity 10G upgrade system since 7/2023 with all Intermittent, connectivty, performace speed

I have been experiencing with my G36 new modem replacement modem as well as the old G36 connectivity performance speed issues, issues of every kind rebooting issues you name it everything over the last 6-7 months for which I contacted Arris about this issue there head tech Joshua at phone number  [edit: removed personal information] he told back then he knew NOTHING about these issue with arris G36 modems and the new 10G xfinitys system upgrade which for us has been a very serious down grade with the Arris G36 modem. We are hardwired ethernet connected  and had for over a year with this G36 and on the ISP service at the 1200 Mbps down and 40 Up of xfinitys good performace over all of 1400+ solid flat line at 1400+ continously with same with the 42 up. We need even much faster speeds but this is the fastest available here from anyone. However in July of 2023 is when xfinity up graded there system making there system only compatiable with there modems causing all 3rd party modem incompat

Parental controls set blocked time is not working

Hello, we purchased at Best Buy (not through our ISP) the ARRIS SURFboard DOCSIS 31 Cable Modem DualBand WiFi Router for Xfinity and Cox. I want to block certain devices during sleeping hours. Under Parental Control > Managed Devices > Edit Blocked Device, I tried to set blocked time starting at 10 pm (22:00) and ending at 8 am (08:00). It didn’t work - I got an error message that the start time must be after the end time.This makes our router useless for parental controls. Are there any work around or will ARRIS consider updating its user interface so the set blocked time works?

S33 Modem - First Take - Leassons Learned

[Surfboard S33 Modem]  First Take - Lessons Learned:WEbUI access to the S33:When installed and connected the WebUI remains inaccessible (denied by firewall filters), ALWAYS:  Access to 192.168.100.1 (the modem) is denied by firewall rules to which I have no visibility in my configuration.  The 192.168.100.0/24 network lies upstream of the WAN interface, and private network addresses (e.g. 192.168.100.0/24) off the WAN interface are blocked.  [Although theoretically one could allow these narrow flows thru the WAN port, it provides a theoretical vector to attacks.] When installed and connected use the second GIGe interface, instead:  Access to192.168.100.1 is allowed, as this access is treated as an out-of-band “console”.  You can connect to the console webUI directly with an Ethernet-capable laptop/pad, or an Ethernet switch and get status information without interference.First-Time WebUI login:Use intead user: admin,  Password: “last-8-digits-of-serial-number” The advertized login with

Modem Design

Looking to upgrade my SB6141 just because. It’s perfect in every way.  Small. Square.  Black.  Blinky lights. What is the deal with this disgusting-looking design on this S33?   The look of it is disturbing.  I want it to pass 1’s and 0’s not look like...well I’m not sure what you were going for but, it sucks.
