W6U Default Password

I see others have this issue.  I finally got a new phone (iPhone 16 Pro) and lo and behold, I see two networks starting with W6U that I could never see before. I’ve never got the app to work with these Arris products, it was pretty much garbage. So my question: Now that I see the network how do I know what password to try? I bought this thing over 2 years ago and I probably have a photo of the sticker on the box -- somewhere. I largely forgot it was in my closet as my hardware did not support WiFi 6, 6e, or 7. Today I took a photo of the sticker on the W6 box itself, and of the networks that showed up on my phone.  But I don’t see a way to attach photos to a post.

How to retrieve W6U default wifi password?

So first off like the genius that I am, I misplaced my W6U manual that has the default wifi password sticker on it. Is there any other way to access it?EDIT: Nvm I was able to use the app and get the password.

W6B - Download Slow(ish) Speed

I purchased the W6B to improve my Download speed in my home office.  I currently have 1Gig fiber service, and consistently get 950 at the modem.  I am using a 2.5 MoCA to get closer to my office, and connect the main W6B access point to the moca via ethernet.  The main access point is one room over, so I realize there is a wall separating W6B Satellite and Main access point.   With that said, I am getting consistent upload speed (~900Mbps), but only getting on avg. ~350Mbps download.   Here is current information for my connection: Radio StatusChannel149Channel WidthHT160Backhaul StatusRSSI-46dbmSignal StrengthMedium I was previously using the same configuration with 2 satellite nodes in my AC5 Mesh system and was averaging ~250Mbps down, so I have seen a little improvement.     Is 350 considered good for real world or is there a way to improve?  I have tried switching channels and even the channel width, but it seems current setting was the best per my trials. Also, to clarify running

Arris Surfboard Max Pro Wi-Fi 6 Router activated with spectrum service provider

I have Spectrum currently as my WiFi provider. I am really thinking about purchasing the Arris Surfboard Max Pro WiFi 6 Router. Will I need to keep Spectrum as my WiFi provider or just purchase a modem for the Arris Surfboard Router to work?

W6U VERY noisy DNS requests for mqtt-retail.surfboardconnect.com - W6U

W6U 6E Network Not Visible

I threw a W6U on my network.  Based on stuff I read here, I got into the web interface and looked at the basic settings, but Arris support has been steadfast that the product is plug and play. 6 months go by.  No one in my family has a 6E device.   Daughter just got an iPhone 15 and is up there at the property, so I asked if she could see any 6E network.  The answer was NO. What am I missing here? It is plugged in, has a blue light on front, and looks happy. But it is not broadcasting an available 6E network.

The W6B didn't change my speeds at all.

I set it up, blue LEDs and all. Went to the web interface, set up the SSID and left everything else at their defaults and my speed is exactly the same. My RSSI is -62dbm, so I feel like that has something to do with it. But, I’m not sure how to fix that.

Getting W6U Online

I added a W6U to my network.  Have had conflicting advice from Arris. One tech took 2 hours and had me reinstall SB Central about 15 times on my phone.  A second tech told me that the device was plug and play and if I had a blue LED, it was all good. Drove up 100 miles to play with the network with an m2 MacBook Pro purchased a couple months ago. That is the only device I have with a WiFi 6E chip set.  It does not see any WiFi 6 network advertised, it only sees those from the G36. I used a network scanner app and I have access to the web interface of the w6U.  Arris tech support call center was unable to tell me what to do using the web interface. Really annoyed at the lack of knowledge at the call center.  Has anyone successfully added this device to your network, and if so, what am I missing?

Wired client list for the 6E access point???

Why does the newer 6E access point show a list of wired clients?  I get wireless clients. Wired? There’s no wired clients attached to it. The LAN port is to connect to a router, etc. Seeing a list of wireless clients has value.  Seeing a list of wired clients is useless.

W6U Wifi 6E AP has wrong firmware when attempting to update

I have the very new Arris W6U Wi-Fi 6E AP. When I attempt to download the new firmware, it says after the download that the firmware file is incorrect.  This file is supposed to come directly from Arris, so I am wondering why the W6U unit is downloading the incorrect firmware?
