S33 | S34

There is a link on the website to check warranty status. BUT, it’s broken and doesn’t work. How can I check the status of my warranty? I have an S33 that I’d like to find if it is in warranty. Thank you in advance.

How do I reset the password? I’ve pushed the pin on the bottom to factory reset but the default user name and password doesn’t work.  Also. Is the SURFboard app supposed to be so barebones? I feel like I’m missing something. 

I returned a new ARRIS S34 modem on 1/30/2026 but have still yet to receive a refund. How do I talk to someone about this issue? Fedex RMA return was used and delivery is confirmed to ARRIS.

We purchased an ARRIS S33 modem new less than a year ago, and it appears to be failing.The front LED is solid green (online), but the 1GE Ethernet port shows both green and amber link/activity lights even when no Ethernet cable is plugged in. The factory reset button also does not trigger a reboot, even when held for 20–30 seconds.Internet connectivity has become unstable, and based on troubleshooting, this appears to be a hardware issue with the Ethernet controller.Additionally, when attempting to file a warranty claim, the ARRIS/CommScope website is not accepting our S33 model information or serial number, even though we are entering it exactly as printed on the device.Has anyone successfully: Processed an S33 warranty replacement recently? Worked around the warranty page rejecting valid model/serial information? Found a reliable way to reach support? The unit is less than one year old

I was out of the country when my internet connection failed. Wife wanted to see the cats on out internal cameras. About 7-8 days ago, the modem failed to connect to the ISP.Today, an ISP technician came out, verified the signal from the cable was strong. However, after power on/off and reset, the modem refused to get any signal from the ISP. It maintains a solid yellow light, but no signal.I replaced the Surfboard S33 with my older Asus CM-16 that connected after it was reassigned as my cable modem by my ISP.I purchased this modem August 2023. It’s been running fine until now. Is there something else i can do to recover operation or get a replacement? 

I have had an s33 for several years. Optimum will not update the firmware. I am getting us profile assignment changes every minute or more. Optimum has been out here twice in the past week and says it's not their problem. I wanted to upgrade to the s34 to rule out problems with my modem, but there has been no availability for a couple of months on every online or in person retailer. Is the s34 being discontinued? Will a new model be coming soon?

Comcast went out, blinked on and off a few times and then my modem died. 2 years 3 months, just out of warranty. My guess is a spike came down the cable line.I have another one on order due today. Is it possible to get the old one repaired so I can keep it as a spare, since I have been down and running my phone hotspot for 5 days now? 

Hi there,I’m hoping a moderator can help me out with a warranty claim. My S33 recently hit the "pale green light" death spiral and stopped booting. I was able to confirm it’s definitely the power brick because I took it to a friend’s house who has the exact same modem—mine booted up perfectly with his power supply.My serial number shows as in-warranty until 4/8/26, but I’ve hit a wall: I work during the phone support hours, and the chat feature on the site hasn't been loading for me at all. On top of that, I paid cash for this at Walmart and didn't save the paper receipt, though I still have the original box with all the matching labels.I have photos of the modem and the original packaging labels ready to go and can provide them via private message upon request.Since this seems to be a known issue with these adapters, is there any way you can help me get a replacement brick sent out? I

Hello, I’ve been having issues connecting to my ISP (Optimum Online) for the last few days and they are suggesting that it is an issue with my modem. I’ve replaced my ISP installed coaxial cable with a brand new RG6 cable as there was a tear in part of the old cable. The modem is on a constant blinking green light as of Saturday 2/21 at ~12:30 AM. Internet speed is slow.  Sparklight says they are unable to update the software on their end because they keep getting an error message.  how do i fix this.  

I purchased a new EECO7 router and am unable to get an internet connection when I hook up direct to my model S33. Everything works fine when connected to my old Apple Tower router  and my Ecco will connect to the internet when hard wired to the Apple . Tried all the unplugging and resetting multiple times. What’s preventing me from connecting to the S33? 

It seems that the S34 modem is unavailable throughout the market place suggesting a supply chain issue.  Does anyone here have any information when the S34 will become available for purchase again?

I purchased a S34 secondhand through Amazon. Apparently its registration information is still part of another provider's system. I need to have the old information deleted so I can register it with my ISP.  How do I have this done?

I tried calling the number it gives with the error, but it just hangs up.

Are their any steps or solutions I've missed? ProblemToday modem turned amber for 20 seconds and then flashes white and off then amber. No web interface. Reset button is not working. Diagnostic Attempts1. Web interface - Attempted access the web interface at http://192.168.100.1 I could not reach it.2. Power cycled - Unplugged for 30 mins, plugged it back in let it sit for 15 mins, still cycling amber, white, off.3. Direct Connection - Disconnected all cables, powered off. Connected power and network cable to port 1 on my desktop. It is still cycling amber, white, off. Desktop would not register any connection and no lights on the ports. I swapped network connection to port 2, I did not receive any DHCP but it is doing some sort of handshake as my desktop reports a network connection and lights are visible on ports. I manually assigned my desktop the IP 192.168.100.200 and Subnet 255.255.255.0 and att

All of the official retailers are out of stock.  They all seem to have the older S33 though.  Does anyone know what is going on?

I just set up a Surfboard S33.  After just a half hour or so, it was already hot.  Does this commonly happen with this model? Should I return it?

Iam experiencing issues with my internet. My ISP just verified my internet connection with another modem, but when I try to use my Arris S33v2, it does not work properly. I dialed the number I found online (1-877-466-8646), but the call got disconnected after 6,7 seconds. Can someone share another way to contact Arris Tech Support?   

The power company was messing around up the block today, and they shut the power off to our neighborhood for a short time. Our S33 cable modem is now solid orange for different intervals, flashing white in between. Sometimes it’s orange for seven seconds before flashing light, and sometimes it’s orange for over 20 seconds before flashing white. Sometimes it’s orange for over a minute before flashing white. It seems random. I’ve tried power cycling it, but it hasn’t helped.

Had an S34 running great on Xfinity network until they decided to “upgrade” the system in our area in 12/25.  After upgrade S34 was “seen” on the Xfinity network but no internet at all.  After several Xfinity service calls can get an internet signal and run a few apps via S34, but not all apps will function; can’t get internet signal to router.  Of course the Xfinity modem (that I got to diagnose) runs ok.  Any similar experiences and/or solutions?

The power company shut off my power for several minutes to test for a possible issue. My internet worked fine beforehand, but after reconnecting power, my Arris Surfboard 33 no longer connects. I’ve tried several resets with no luck. We have Cox, but their remote help was not useful. Help?

Cox said to contact Arris as they have validated connection and Mac ID.  But I can’t see the internet.  Tried via wireless and direct wire to pc

Trying to access my S34 modem on my LAN using Chrome, and the site displays the “Not secure” message. I downloaded the certificate, and imported it into my Chrome certificate manager, yet I am still getting this error while accessing the S34. Is that certificate valid?
