I cannot login to my router. I enter admin and password on the router and I get an error message that my credentials are not good. Is there a workaround? I would like to change our network name and password.

I’d try a factory reset then.
Arris supports only the retail products that are available on surfboard.com but not the ISP lease products.
Please contact your ISP for the same.
