MEDIACOM COMPATIBLE TELEPHONY

Forum|alt.badge.img

I live in Springfield, MO with MEDIACOM as my ISP. Does anyone know of an ARRIS Modem or any Modem with Telephony that’s compatible with Mediacom? Mediacom, if I contract phone service, is trying to force me to buy their “retail” modem for $199. I’m certain it’s a configuration situation with a non-Mediacom Telephony Modem to make it function.

You’ll have to find out from mediacom which ones are compatible. Their compatibility list is only for modem only devices.

So you’ll have to check with them which retail ones are approved.

Yeah, I’ve already viewed that list. When I chatted them up, Mediacom offered to sell me a modem with telephony for $199.00, as I alluded to in my post. Even though the Mediacom Compatibility pdf. states, to ask them which retail telephony modems are compatible, Mediacom claims to no longer support, any modems with telephony, not sold by them ;sounds like a good case for a Monopoly!
