Add printer to Wi-Fi network

Hi!  I have a new Arris G20 Surfboard Wi-Fi Cable Modem, I have been able to add all of my phones and laptops to the Wi-Fi, but not my HP Envy 4500 printer.  I get the message your HP printer is unable to connect to your wireless router, and that I must add the MAC address of my printer to the list of permitted devices for my wireless router.  How do I do that?  Melanie

Usually, it’s not necessary to add the MAC address. Please follow the steps below.

Most printers connect using the 2.4 GHz network, and they typically work best when the 2.4 GHz encryption method is set to medium.

Please refer to the link below for instructions on how to change the encryption method for the 2.4 GHz network:

Once the encryption method has been updated, check whether the printer is able to connect to the 2.4 GHz network.
