G18 MAC Filter restricts HP 8600 connection

Forum|alt.badge.img

I am unable to connect an HP 8600 with either MAC Filtering disabled, Allow-All, or MAC Filtering enabled, Allow, with the HP 8600 in the  Wi-Fi Control List. In both cases, a MAC Filter restriction message is displayed.

If you're trying to connect your printer to Wi-Fi, it's best to use the 2.4GHz network, as most printers are compatible with this frequency. Additionally, make sure that the Wi-Fi network's security type is set to "WPA2-PSK(AES)," which is compatible with printers, TVs, and most IoT devices.

For detailed steps on changing the security type in the G18, please refer to the link provided below

Thank you for your reply!  Changing the Security Type corrected the problem.  But I would be remiss not to mention how much time was wasted chasing the MAC address filtering issue.  Surely your design people could remove the inappropriate MAC address filtering message and replace it with an appropriate Security Type message.  Also, had this product been registered, I would not have lost so much time because support would have been available.  So, to anyone who has not registered your product, make sure you do to get the support you paid for.
