I bought an ARRIS Model G20 Modem. and there is a problem when i went to activate the modem through Xfinity. after i gave them all the info i was able to connect to the internet, the problem is Xfinity cannot see my modem and when i’m on the Xfinity app it says i am off line. when i goto the web gui for my arris modem i goto Gateway > Hardware > System Hardware and scroll down and see this...Device Condition:Used….
does this mean my modem is used…...i am wondering if someone had this modem before and had the same issue and ARRIS just checked it and then just repackaged it and shipped it to a retailer…...i was chatting with the xfinity guy for over an hour trying to get it them able to see it. they offered to send a tech out but i do not want to take time off of work if i don’t have to….has anyone ever had this issue or when you look in the web gui and goto the location i wrote above and does it say USED or New.
