I’m a fan of triband extenders because they have a dedicated backhaul. Sadly, there isn’t much for triband with AX routers. so if it was me, i’d just look for one that has matching AX3000 specs

I believe you are stating there are not good extenders available for the Arris G36 which is kind of disappointing and for the price of the Arris I was hoping I would not need one. 

Someone told me Eero but they seem to need th eero router too

Regarding the best Wi-Fi extenders, all of them will be capable of connecting to G36.

Thank you - does that mean all Surfboard models only - or all wifi extenders - do not get me wrong I love surfboard but have 3 eero extenders from another property 

All Wi-Fi extenders are compatible with Arris’s Gateway and third-party routers.
