Backup the configuration on a G34

Forum|alt.badge.img

Surely there is a way to backup the configuration on a G34? I hear from a lot of sources that it cannot be done which makes no sense at all. Am I missing something here? Why in heavens name would Arris not provide this fundamental and necessary function? Are you telling me I have to screenshot/write down every last one of the things you have altered, and keep that around and manually re enter it all if something goes wrong?

G34 doesn't have this backup- restore option on the modem GUI and this concern has been taken to our backend team so that they will check and work on it but we do apologies for the inconvenience. you can also have a check on the below link for the confirmation.

I KNOW it does not have a backup, I was speaking rhetorically, which I thought was obvious, but apparently not. How does this ever NOT have a backup function, and is something you have to ‘take it up with your team’?  I mean come on, this is modem router 101 boilerplate stuff.
