Can't login to G36 app or web. Due to changing internet providers.

I changed internet providers and had to switch to their modem. I want to turn my g36 into a network bridge  because I have like 60 wifi smart bulbs/devices that I desperately don't want to have to reconnect. It was a nightmare the first time. Well unfortunately I can't login to the app because it doesn't have internet, and the web access says the password I have saved is wrong. How do I login without resetting? The whole point is so I don't have to reconnect all my devices.

Looks like page 67 of manual goes over it.

If you have installed your G34/G36 using an Ethernet port for your data input, perform the following to activate the Ethernet port. To open the Gateway hardware Ethernet screen:

1. From any G34/G36 Web manager screen, click the Connection menu link to display the Status and WAN submenu links.

2. Click the WAN submenu link to open the Gateway Connection WAN screen.

3. Click EDIT on the WAN screen.

4. Click Interface CHANGE to select either DOCSIS (for a regular cable connection) or Ethernet (for an input signal from a different modem device) with an Ethernet connection from the modem device to the G34/G36 Ethernet port 4.

As suggested by @plemans , you will need to change the G36 to Router Mode in order to use it with your service provider’s modem.

If the app has been set up correctly, the password to log in to the gateway interface is managed through the SURFboard Central app. For the app to function properly, please ensure you are using your phone’s cellular data when accessing it.

To retrieve the interface login password, please refer to the link below for step‑by‑step instructions.

After that, use the following link for guidance on how to change the G36 to Router Mode
