Why can’t I open the IP address ON THE MODEM to change the wifi password????????????????????

Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps

put in nummber from Arris modem

get screen with admin as name

but no password will work

get message Chrome using is unsupported  minimum 70.0.3538.110???????????????????????
