I see that this is a common question but none of the replies are resolving my issue. I have connected all of my devices to my network except my printer. None of the networks, i.e., 2.4, 5ghz, and guest do not appear in the list of networks in the HP setup wizard. I tried entering my network name manually with the WPA password. Nothing works. The printer cannot find the network. I have restarted the router and the printer. I really need to get this fixed.
Cannot connect HP 2028 Printer to G34

Hi. I recently purchased a G34 and ran into the same problem when trying to get my HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 to connect to the new modem/router. The printer could not see either the 2.4 or 5 GHz SSID’s. I tried doing many things, but I eventually did a factory reset on the printer from the Service Menu. I opted for the Semi Full reset and after entering a few settings, the printer prompted me to install the HP Smart app to finish the setup. I installed it on my laptop and finished the setup. During the final setup the printer recognized the 2.4 GHz SSID and we were off and running.
There are several helpful videos on YouTube on how to do the HP factory reset on the printer. You will end up wasting a sheet of paper during the first part of the setup because the printer will want to re-calibrate the scanner. The HP Smart app will be at 123.hp.com .
One more thing. Prior to the printer reset, I make a few changes to the 2.4 GHz portion of the router which have remained. No changes were made to the 5 GHz side. I changed the mode from B/G/N/AX to G/N/AX. Also, I changed the security from WPA2/WPA3 Mixed Personal to WPAWPA2-PSK(TKIP/AES). Lastly I changed the transmit power (TX) to 50%. I have a small condo and so far I'm not seeing any connection issues.
You may not need to do all the things I did, maybe just the printer reset will be enough. Good luck.
