Did you contact canon?
What error are you getting when you try?
Is the G36 set to wpa2/wpa3 mode?
Yes, they were utterly useless- basically just reciting the manual to me, which I could obviously read on my own.
the only thing I could think of is that it’s something with 5ghz vs 2.4ghz , but I’m trying to connect on the 2.4ghz WiFi- so I’m not even sure about that.
Yes, it’s on wpa2/wpa3 mixed personal (aes)
sorry edit to add: the only “error” I get is that it says it cannot set it up
does it connect to a guest network if its setup with wpa2?
one other thing to check, some of those devices struggle with spaces/special characters in the ssid/password. Are there any of theres in yours? (could also use that to try with the guest network)
@Sjcraig Try the steps on this FAQ. You might just need to check the Wi-Fi encryption type from wpa2/wpa3 mix mode to wpa2 for the Wi-Fi band you’re trying to connect the printer to.
