Hello grkedia,

We understand you would like to connect canon MX922 printer to G36 . There are two ways to connect the printer to the gateway .

  1. Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
  2. By changing the security mode to WPA2-PSK(AES)

Do let us know if you require more information . We will be happy to assist you.

How do you change the security settings?

Wow, the Canon MX922 launched way back in 2013.  That means you’ll need to make the G36 Wi-Fi backward compatible.  You’ll need to use a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc) to get to the G36 settings.  Enter 192.168.0.1 in your web browser’s URL box and hit the enter key.

Go to Wireless settings and make sure the “Mode” includes 802.11n.  Go to 2.4 GHz setting to set the Security mode to WPAWPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES).  Make sure to save the changes and give it a go.
