I installed a G34 surfboard through the xfinity app.  I can connect to wifi from the modem on my phone using the default credentials.  I need to change the modem name and password.  The app is saying that there is no connection when I try to login.  It says SURFBOARD setting up the mobile application and then says no connection and won’t go further.  How do I fix this?

If you are unable to access surfboard central app even when you can able to access internet from your Home network then the only option is to uninstall the app and perform hard reset on the modem, after modem reboots completely you can connect device to your modem WIFI network then install app and follow the steps mentioned on below link and if still your unable to setup app you can access modem interface or GUI to change the login credentials.
