I have an Arris router modem combo model G34. I bought a Netgear AC1200 Dual Band Wifi Range Extender model ex6120. I cannot get the extender to connect to my router. After spending an hour on the phone with Netgear they recommended I call you to see if Arris "blocks extension networks?" Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

There’s no need to block anything on the G34 gateway. If your Netgear extender supports WPS, you can use the WPS method on the G34 to pair the extender with the gateway.

It’s important to ensure that the Netgear extender is broadcasting a default network name.

For your reference, please visit the link below for instructions on how to pair the extender using the WPS method with the G34 gateway.
