Have a G36 running our network. I have several concrete block walls that inhibit the signal from reaching my backyard.

Can I simply run a giant ethernet cable from my home G36 (Router 1 “R1”) to my outside, air conditioned shed where another G36 (Router 2 “R2”) would reside? Is that the simplest way to expand my outside wifi coverage? R2 would be near a window in the shed that in theory could reach the entirety of my backyard.

I’ve asked around and no one seems to have answer for this problem otherwise… TIA

Sounds like you’re on the right track. You’ll need a Wi-Fi Access Point for R2 instead of G36 or a wi-if router.
