My G34 works properly with no issues but when the interet from my ISP is offline the light does not blink. The first time my ISP had an outage that caused my internet to go offline the blue light blinked until service came back. This past weekend there were outages and the light did not blink at all. Today I removed the coaxial cable to move the modem and the light did not blink. Is it normal for the light to not blink when offline? It is my understanding that it should blink when there is no internet connection. The setting on my front panel is having light on at all times.

Even without coax cable if the modem LED light is solid blue that is not normal so please do perform hard reset on the modem to make sure the modem is working alright but after resetting the modem will go to default setup any custom settings will be removed so use the default network name and password to connect to your network.
Factory reset
At the back of the modem, in the middle section you will see a small hole, inside that hole there is a button, and that is the reset button, please insert a paper clip or a tip of a pen and hold it for 15-30 seconds until all your lights go off, afterwards wait until your device fully boots up.
