After reading what I could find here, I suspect many have this issue!!

I used the web interface to thoroughly configure the G34 and TURNED OFF THE WIFI since

I have a very nice mesh network plugged into the G34…

I foolishly listened to the banner and used the Surfboard Central app to see what else could be configured… BAD MOVE!!

I now  get a logon screen that REQUIRES AN EMAIL AND PASSWORD WHICH I WAS NEVER GIVEN!!!

It tells me I can “get to the old logon...” by clicking something that DOES NOT EXIST!!!

Common sense tells me there should be a URL that I could append to the router IP in my browser to get to the other logon screen (e.g. https://{router IP}/<old logon page.php>) if only someone could supply that info!!

If I can’t  get that info, I am faced with resetting the modem and spending a few hours reconfiguring all my custom settings!!

G34 is gateway which is the combination of modem and router so to connect separate router to G34 you need to enable bridge mode on the modem settings page. Then you can connect router to the modem ethernet port to setup Wi-Fi. You can uninstall and reinstall the surfboard central app and follow the steps mentioned on the below article to setup on the device connected to modem Wi-Fi network.
