I cannot get my new G34 surfboard to connect to my Canon MG3620 printer. It was working great before switching to the new modem/router. I have spent a few hours on this troubleshooting through Canon’s site and Arris. I found articles in this community but the links do not work.

Could someone help me get my Canon printer connected to my G34 router/modem?
I have tried:
• through the 192. portal with the WMS pin code.
• reset my modem/router
• installed new software from canon.

Please help. Why is this so hard on my new Arris G34? It wasn’t hard before I had another system.

Most printers connect using the 2.4 GHz network, and they typically work best when the 2.4 GHz encryption method is set to medium.

Please refer to the link below for instructions on how to change the encryption method for the 2.4 GHz network:

https://arris.my.salesforce-sites.com/consumers/articles/knowledge/G34-G36-Unable-to-Connect-to-the-Wi-Fi-Network

Once the encryption method has been updated, check whether the printer is able to connect to the 2.4 GHz network.

Thank you for the link to change the settings for security. I have done this on both the regular and 5G version of my wifi network. I have restarted my router/modem. I have turned the printed off and on.
I cannot get the printer to show up on the network. Is there anything else I can do? I downloaded new software from Canon and did not have any troubles with the printer before this new router/modem. Please help. Thank you.

I figured it out by pairing it through your portal. All good now but it was VERY DIFFICULT.
