G36 - Add additional Wifi Router

How do I add a second Wifi Router to my existing G36 Modem/Router. I have a large house. I upgraded my modem to the Arris G36. My prior modem did not have wifi so I have my old Asus Wifi router that I am trying to connect but when I connect to it it says I do not have internet access. I tried adjusting the Firewall but that has not made a difference. Do I connect the modem to my LAN or WAN ports of the second Wifi router. Do I need to change any settings?

Thanks

Ken

If you’re connecting another router to it, make sure the asus is in access point mode. Otherwise it causes a double nat (2 devices managing nat) and some devices don’t play well in a double nat.
