G36 and Dead Zones - Should I install Mesh?

If you're looking to purchase a mesh system, any of our mesh products will work with the G36. We recommend getting a dual pack if your place is large.

We will suggest putting the G36 into bridge mode, which will turn off its Wi-Fi function and make it act as a cable modem.

Setting up the dual pack is simple: the first mesh router will be hardwired directly to the G36, and the second one will pair wirelessly. You can place the second router in a different location to extend the Wi-Fi range.

Note: Once the G36 is in bridge mode, only one of the Ethernet ports will work, which will be used by the main mesh router.

So once the G36 is in Bridge mode I cannot plug one of the Mesh Routers directly into the G36 and keep it next to the g36 and cover the first floor and then plug the second one into the G36 and put it in the basement?  I have a CAT 5 cable that runs from the location of the G36 on the first floor through walls to basement so I was trying to have wifi down there that was directly connected to the router?  Any way to have both Mesh systems or a similar type of system hard wired on the first and second floor and utilize the wire I have in the wall.  Can I plug in the First Mesh router and then plug the second Mesh Roter into the First?

Enabling bridge mode on the G36 can help reduce Wi-Fi interference.

Could you provide the model number of your mesh router?

After setting up the main router, place the satellite unit next to it for initial configuration. Once the setup is complete, you can relocate it to your desired location.

I dont have a Mesh Router yet and was looking to find one that would work.  In a perfect work I would disable wifi on the G36 and hard wire both Mesh Routers either to the G36 or one to the G36 and the other to each other.  Looking for options
