G36 boots wifi off every 5-10 minutes Xfinity

I have the G36, got it in august 24. It worked fine for about a month and then it started having problems where it would physically restart 2-3 times a day. Then in december it seemed to have fixed itself, and up until early february it worked fine. However now the router doesnt even restart itself and it just kicks off the internet for 5 of seemingly every 10 minutes.

Could you let us know if the internet drops on a specific device or if it affects all of your devices?

First, please ensure that your gateway is placed in an open, exposed area to minimize Wi-Fi congestion which will improve the overall signal strength.

If you're still experiencing issues, particularly with Wi-Fi, as recommended try changing the Wi-Fi channels to avoid interference.

If the issue persists both on a wired and wireless connection, we would suggest checking the cable signal levels, as they should be within the acceptable range.

Cable signal levels are really important because they directly impact the quality of your internet service. The signal level refers to the strength of the signal that travels through the cable and reaches your modem/router

I'm at the point where idk if it's xfinty or my g36 but I'm over it. I've been having the same issue for over 7 months now. I've been in phone with xfinity and arris people. They keep blaming it on the other. I'm going to replace it with the Orbi to see what happens. If that doesn't help then I know it's Xfinity and I'll cancel my internet. I've seen numerous people post on here that the g36 does the same thing to them too so idk.

I understand you're experiencing intermittent internet issues. Could you clarify whether the problem occurs with a wired or wireless connection?

If the issue is with a wireless connection, I recommend changing the Wi-Fi channels and monitoring the performance for 24 hours.

Good evening,

It's happening with wireless connections.  I will change the channel and see what happens.  Thank you!
