G36 Ethernet to tv

I just did a hard connection to my TV with an Ethernet cable and all I get is an amber blinking light

Do you see the blinking Amber light on the ethernet port or on the modem front panel?

In back of the modem where the cable is plugged into the port

Amber blinking on ethernet port is very normal behavior. It Indicates data traffic is in progress.
