I was having the same problem with my G36.  It has been very solid with the wi-fi connection from for the first 18 months.  Then 4 or 5 months ago, it started dropping connection frequently (several times an hour).  As I work from home, this was a huge inconvenience -- especially during meetings.

Advice I recevied in another thread helped me to eventually minimize the issue. That other thread is closed, but the advise given was similar to above.  It was not the cable signal levels though.
The link showed how to use the G36 to scan for every device using the 2.4Ghz bandwidth, and to try a less used channel.  Well, turns out there are 50 or 60 devices (mostly the various neighbors) all on that bandwidth.  I tried a lesser used channel, but that did not solve the issue.

What did help minimize the issue was to switch my devices to the lesser used 5GHz channel.   This reduced the dropouts considerably.

However I have some old devices (squeezebox internet radios) which are not capable of using the 5GHz channel, and when these devices drop the connection, the software in them is not smart enought to reconnect.  I had to manually reboot the radio every 20 to 30 minutes as they used the 2.4GHz bandwidth.  I solved that issue by buying a TP-Link wi-fi repeater/extender with a single ethernet port.   I plugged that in close to the internet radio, and set it up to connect ising the 5GHz channel.  Then I connected the internet radio to the TP-Link via ethernet.

Viola, my radios are now rsolid and continuous again.  The signal does, I think, drop occasionally still, but the TP-Link re-establishes the connection over the 5GHz.  Then my old squeezebox is happy, unlike when the connection dropped over the wi-fi and the radio would not re-establish connection, it seems fine re-connecting over ethernet.

Im going through the same issue. Its literally garbage. And no chat support service on weekends. Im returning mine this week. People say to change the channel due to flooding over signal but even wired connection falls
