I bought a G36 to run with Ethernet for home business reasons. Wi-Fi is activated, but I've still not understood how I can run the G36 using Ethernet only.
I'm using Windows11 Pro.
May I ask for help with this? I'm just going too fast. Thank you

To activate the G36 gateway, please ensure that it is properly connected to the coaxial cable and wait for a steady blue LED light. When activating the device, make sure to use only the HFC MAC ID.
If you prefer to use only an Ethernet connection, you can disable the Wi‑Fi radios. Please refer to the link below for instructions on how to do this.

I rent a room and have my G36 in this room. I bought the G36 since I'll be creating crypto nodes needing high speed data. Ethernet is advised since the signal is stable compared to WiFi.
I'm trying to either minimize or eliminate the WiFi exposure, and I assumed I could turn off the Wi-Fi feature, though I'm not sure. I emailed support yesterday about this.
I use a Faraday cage to minimize exposure. I'm thinking that might be my best option for what I'm seeking, but I'm awaiting answers still.

On a separate issue, I've not activated it using Xfinity's app yet. I've tried 3 times already, but it's still not showing as activated.
My guess is it's pulling the wrong MAC address.
It's pulled the HFC MAC address repeatedly. But the WAN MAC is only one digit off (49 vs 4A). I'll check that tonight when I'm home again.
I mention it wondering if this is common.
Edit: I chatted with Xfinity's AI assistant, and using the WAN address is suggested if the HFC address isn't working

Thank you so much. Turning off the Wi-Fi was exactly what I needed. And Ethernet is running smoothly.
About activation, I must be missing something. I'm connected. I did a speed test and it was mid-600's (paying for 1gb). How can my modem not be activated?
