Lost internet a few hours ago, happens every now and then, I unplug the modem(g36) plug it back in, wait 3 minutes and I’m online. Today that didn’t work. And neither is our cable or phones. Called xfinity, the first guy said someone must have cut out wires. The second person said our modem is dead and needs to be replaced. We have had this g36 for the last 2 maybe 3 years, and bought it because it was supposed to last longer than most modems, according to xfinity. The modem showed no signs of dying up until this point, so I have my doubts that it’s dead. How could I check if the modem still works or not?
