G36 Web portal extremely slow

I know this has been reported by others, but I am unable to see what the solution was. 

The G36 Web portal interface is extremely slow to log in and respond to switching menus or making changes, it often comes back with “Connection to Gateway Lost”.  The modem is connected to the Cable provider (Spectrum) and internet speed is not a problem.  I am unable to use the Mobile app because when I try to log in, it reboots he modem.  The modem has been factory reset numerous times but the slow login / management is still a problem.  I have tried both wired as well as wireless, different devices and different browsers but all have the slow responsiveness.

If the interface page is loading slowly on both wired and wireless connections, I recommend trying a different device such as another computer or mobile phone. Additionally, it's important to clear the cookies and cache from your browser.

To help isolate the issue, you may have previously attempted to access the interface while the coaxial cable was still connected. We recommend disconnecting the coaxial cable, then restarting the gateway. Leave the coaxial cable unplugged during the reboot process. Once the gateway restarts, the LED light should blink blue. At this point, connect to the network and check if the interface page loads more quickly.

This did not resolve the problem.  The modem is still extremely slow.  I did follow the steps, however the modem light would not turn solid blue until the coax was hooked back up.

When the coaxial cable is not connected, the LED light on the modem will blink blue.

When you mention that the modem is slow, are you also experiencing slow internet speeds?

If the internet connection is slow, could you please confirm whether the issue occurs on Wi-Fi-connected devices, wired devices, or both?

No the internet speed is not slow, it is around 700mb down, 150 up. The slowness is both wired and wireless. I appreciate your help.
