I am very frustrated because we have a strong wifi signal for both 2.4 and 5 ghz networks, yet only the 5 ghz network maintains an internet connection.  On my phone it will have internet for a minute or less. I have changed channels and nothing works. Please help.

Try changing the 2.4ghz channel.

2.4ghz is more sensitive to interference because there’s less channels and it broadcasts further and through more materials. So more things interfere with it. But you can try optimizing the 2.4ghz channel you use.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did a wifi scan and the 2.4 ghz network is on a channel with nothing else listed, but I will try changing it anyway. Thanks again for the help!

might be something just popping up occasionally.

The really weird part is that our cell phones will only get internet for about a minute, then there is no connection. (We still have a strong network connection, just no internet) On my computer it is just "regular unstable" (on for the most part, but drops connection every so often - can't use zoom on it).

*Our cell phones work just fine on the 5 ghz network.
