I put a post previously about my Wifi speeds are only half that they use to be. 426mbps now 213mbps with upload only .07mbps.  My ethernet speed is great and it is just the Wifi,. I was going to check the channels to see where the congestion is so I can change the channel BUT, for some reason, even though I have alot of items connected to the 2.4 channel, nothing is showing up after running the Spectrum Analyzer under 2.4GHz section/log. Items show up under the 5G categories but not the 2.4.

I cannot change the channel if I do not know where the congestion is as I am sure there is.

Run a scan on a pc/laptop/phone. You can do it that route.

Also, are you speedtesting on 2.4ghz? There isn’t a chance its actual throughput is over 200mbps. It might have a higher link speed but not actual speed. 2.4ghz is a slow network. 5ghz will hit higher but not 2.4.

Details of what band you’re on, what channel you’re on, and how you’re actually testing the speeds help.

Your response was not helpful at all. It left more questions than answers. I thought I put enough information in my post.

I am trying to use the Analyzer that is in the ARRIS Surfboard program when I log into the router.   After I run the scan which scans the 2.4 and all the 5’s, it does not show any log information for the 2.4.  WHY?

I am sure there is an issue with a channel that might have to be changed for the 2.4 but without the log information, I do not know what it is.

Don’t use the built in analyzer.

Use one for either your PC or phone. I prefer acrylic wifi analyzer for pc. For my phone, i use wifi analyzer (android).

That will give you the best results.

Again, with your speeds, how are you “testing” it? actual throughput speed? Link speed? Whats being broadcast by the ssid?

I’d highly recommend reading Duckware’s “understanding wifi 4/5/6/6e/7”.  Its very informative. I’d put a link here but they tend to get blocked when links are posted. A quick google search will find it and will help understand the differences between speeds/performance/etc.
