I recently replaced my older Arris modem that was cheaper and had gone out. I bought this one that was supposedly better, but it drops my internet connection on my devices everyday. This is a HUGE problem because I work from home. All devices are wireless except one, but I did not have this issue with my cheaper Arris model. I can only use Xfinity due to lack of providers for my area so I’m stuck with them but this wasn’t happening before I changed devices. I have my computer and a couple other main devices connected to the 2.4G and others connected to the 5.0G do not overloading the 2.4G. I have reset the modem, and disconnected and reconnected devices multiple times. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I have to have fast internet for work.

anything stability releated should be on 5ghz. Its faster and has less interfernce.

But it could be the cable connection from the isp. got a copy of your upstream/downstream info

Could you please confirm if the internet drops you're experiencing occur only on the Wi-Fi network, or if it also happens on hardwired devices like a laptop or desktop connected to the gateway via an Ethernet cable?

Additionally, I would recommend placing the gateway in an open area to help avoid any Wi-Fi congestion.

If the connection drops on both Wi-Fi and hardwired devices, I would suggest checking the cable signal levels to ensure they are within the acceptable range. Cable modems rely on three main signal levels to function properly: Downstream Power Level, Upstream Power Level, and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). These levels determine the quality of your internet connection and can impact your browsing, streaming, and download speeds.

Please refer the link below, where you can find the steps to check the cable signal levels.

I’ve had the same modem for only a few days and I’m experiencing the same problem and I’m also using Xfinity. I checked the Xfinity app for compatibility with my high speed 1200mbps plan and it actually does NOT recommend the G34, but it does recommend the G36 which is $100 more expensive. I’m half debating whether to upgrade the modem bc the patchy service is not acceptable as I too work from home. I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be good enough. I thought the G34 was supposed to support up to 4Gbps download speeds.
