The modem is working but I’d like to get the app up and working so I can simplify the password. The QR code that came with the unit doesn’t work and I don’t seem to be able to do it manually. I’ve set up a password and user name, but that’s about it.
If you set it up through the browser based method, try factory resetting and then re-trying using the app. You might even clear out cache/data on the app on your phone too.
Could you confirm if you have changed the Wi-Fi name and password on the web interface?
If you have changed them, you will not be able to set up the Surfboard Central app, as the app requires the gateway to be under the default Wi-Fi credentials.
If you are using the default Wi-Fi credentials, please try reinstalling the app and follow the steps provided in the link below.
If you have setup the web based interface (GUI), please follow the steps in the below link
