I have an Arris DOCSIS modem on Comcast

Software Image Name:AR01.05.020.13_032624_735.NCS.20
Model:G36

The upload speed has been poor since I purchased the modem last year.  5-6 Mbps is typical
Download speed is 700+ Mbps.   My previous rental modem from Comcast got around 300Mbps upload speed.   Comcast came out to check the connection & found no problems.   When the technician connected hist modem, he got about 320 Mbps upload.

Do a need a replacement modem from Arris?

First, please ensure that you are subscribed to the latest Next-Gen speed plan offered by your internet service provider.

For your reference, please find below the link that lists the approved speeds under Xfinity.

Each modem has its own configuration, and as a result, the upload speed is determined entirely by your internet service provider.

Additionally, you may verify whether the gateway is receiving proper signal levels by logging in to the G36 web interface.

Please refer to the link below for instructions on how to check the cable signal levels.
