I have a new G34 wifi router. Some of my devices hook up to 5G but my iphone, ipdad, and macbook only hook up to the 2.5. My Xfinity speed should be up to 600 but only getting around 34.

Make sure the G34 is placed in an open area and at a higher elevation, as this helps reduce Wi-Fi congestion. Please note that the 2.4 GHz band offers better coverage but slower speeds, while the 5 GHz band provides faster speeds but with less coverage.

Also, make there are minimal sources of interference near the G34, such as microwaves, concrete walls, and other obstacles.

Are only the Apple devices having trouble connecting to the 5GHz network?

Please note, with a 2.4GHz network, you’ll typically get only about a quarter of your subscribed internet speed, and the actual speeds can vary depending on the device.
