I had sparklight as my provider for a year and the G34 worked perfectly. I recently moved states and had to change my provider to Xfinity and now I can't connect to internet. Since moving into the Apartment, the G34 when I plug it in goes green for 1 second then turns Amber color and stays like that. I have no access to wifi or internet through it. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Make sure the G34 is compatible with the internet plan at the new location.  I remember Xfinity couldn’t offer the same plan when I moved and had to change my plan that was compatible with my modem.

In this case to test the modem you can check the modem GUI without connecting coax cable to the modem on the device connected to the modem wifi network or on the device connected to the modem directly if that works fine then you can try checking with your internet service provider for your modem activation again. If the modem is not provisioned properly then you can see this type disturbance on the modem.

I did have an xfinity tech come out and check and he couldn't figure out the modem either, it was constantly amber still. He told me I'd probably nees to get a new one. I still have the warranty on this one though, so I can contact arris to redeem that correct?

For anyone in the future experiencing this problem, I called Surfboard and was able to redeem my warranty. They deemed as a faulty modem. G34 is compatible but something went wrong within it that caused this error. They sent me a replacement that works good.
